I see a shadowy, naked woman with a ponytail spinning in a clockwise fashion to her right on one leg, while moving up and down, on a gray background.

Not sure if that fits either poll option, of "r" or "other".

    R or Other WTF?

    ethical ego is ethical ego.

also: about turning cw or ccw you have to define a coordinate system or else you can't relate cw or ccw to something

when i clicked the page it was spinning cw, and now it's ccw. something to do with the structural/procedural parts of my brain being activated, or something.

    edit: back to cw.

    Lol...this chick again!!

There's a thread about this on this forum already. I remember seeing it keep switching on me, and I was convinced that the clip deliberately switched directions to give that changing illusion. So I downloaded the clip and broke it up into its frames so I could see....I was wrong, lol.

This time I first saw it moving ccw.
Then i remembered what I'd read about it back then, and covered the black image and watched the reflected feet, then removed my hand and she was turning cw. It was a little harder to get back to ccw, but I did the same thing and got to seeing it ccw again. You can 'change its direction' by pinpointing on the reflected feet and/or the top of the head for a moment, then resuming looking at the full image.

Well, it's an illusion to begin with...

I got it to appear ccw by rotating the image 180° for a few seconds and then returning to the original orientation but after 3 or 4 revolutions it reverted to cw.

I see her making half a rotation in one direction and then switching to the other. This time anyway.

The dancing girl will show up in both directions for everyone it depends on various conditions. I read an article about it somewhere that I'm too lazy to dig up now.

All the test say that I'm right/left brained. I find that very weird.

Wikipedia says the image is fallaciously linked to dextral/sinistral cerebro-hemispheric preference. I would insert a sad face here if that were my habit.

I can switch the way she rotates by looking at her reflection below her foot.
The important thing is to be brained, no matter if left or right.

It depends on what I first focus on and whether I visualize it as CW or CCW beforehand.
I already knew about this beforehand however and know how it works by allowing the mind to fill in the depth of what it is seeing. So maybe this isn't what you wanted.

It goes clockwise for me. After posting one that is going to go the opposite to clockwise, I'm going to see it go counter. Of course, it's an illusion, so you watch one and the other, and both are going to go the same direction upon resting your eyes. CC-CCW.

by focusing on the motion of each set of limbs without the body, you can isolate the angle at which they meet (since each is on a 180 degree recursion), and change the direction easily. it's mirrors the structure of our visual system.

The point of the thread is to just spill what you first see. Apparently everyone voted counter-clockwise.
