    Default New SEI

Well, hello. I'm new to this forum, but read about socionics all the time... find it pretty accurate (and interesting).

Let's see. I teach drawing and painting, run a gallery, and like beer. These are the important things...

I thought I might join the conversation and say hi.

Hi, yeah SEI are heavily into the arts and rightfully so; they make excellent judges of harmony and other elements within the artistic sphere like comfort, and other sensory responses.
    -
    Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
    Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

What is your opinion of home brewed cider?

Feel no pressure but depending on your response to that question I will either love you or hate you.
is like a wet kiss on the cheek and a warm hug by a cute smiling girl.
is the confetti shots on your birthday party with all your friends.
is a way to completely rip apart the face of god and stare directly at the naked universe.
is like over here and then over there and they are all connected and I am on amphetamine.

According to the statistics I pulled off from my ass you are likely to:
    -Retype yourself at least once
-Realize that socionics has less to do with relationships than you maybe wanted to think.
-Realize site has a lot of fucked up people but they are quite beautiful in it.
-Attribute and reattribute traits to vague information elements.
-Be told that something is not type related.

You now have self-typed 2,5 duals in your thread.
    Did you lurk?

Being Smilingeyes it is going to work.

-Realize that socionics has less to do with relationships than you maybe wanted to think.
It has a lot to do with relationships per Model A theory or something.

-Realize site has a lot of fucked up people but they are quite beautiful in it.
    Look who is talking.

-Attribute and reattribute traits to vague information elements.
No habla espanol. Not really though, but blah. Heh.

Self-typed meaning you do not agree with their self-typing. English, please.

Thanks for the welcome, as for slavery well...no.
I did lurk once. Ok Twice.
Never had home brewed cider so I'm safe? (Note evasive maneuver!).

As for the arts, because it so interdisciplinary I think lots of types are involved...I would actually say that it is the age of the Intuitive in visual art; concept is king. And collaboration is big too... that being said, SEI have a lot of patience and can focus for long periods, which is what it takes to get into the zone when making or creating something with your hands.

I'm pretty sure I won't retype myself... used to think I was INFp, but nope. Thought I could be a "j" but again, too wishy washy about certain things. At this stage, I am what I am and it's good

What is your experience with ILEs? Have you discovered duality?

Yes I have, I dated one for about 6 months, my first experience with one romantically... poor timing for him (which means he wasn't as in to me as I was him, since he hasn't moved away, which was the reason for the breakup) but it was the most fun relationship I've had. There are 3 ILE's in my life right now, not romantic, but it is pretty magnetic. I think it is for them as well, since one of them (who is married) made advances, which were not reciprocated. But the rapport is just too easy. My best friend from high school is ILE and she is amazing, we always pick up where we left off even if we haven't spoken for months. I also work with one, not closely, and it's funny that I think now after 2 years she is starting to consider me a friend, and is taking an interest...she wants to hang out and such. I think she is hilarious and she seems to feed off of me enjoying her ideas and provoking more.

Just because you're SEI it doesn't mean that you can't have meaningful relationships with types belinging to other quadras. As a SEI, I bet that you'll find IEEs quite endearing, specially if you can get to know a healthy one. The more you go outside your quadra, the more you're at risk of experiencing trouble. However, nothing enriches your vision of the world more than spending time with people who sees stuff differently.

Patience or focus! Ha, those are the last words I would use to describe my SEI friend! Then again, maybe that's because the activities in which he takes part from which I draw that conclusion are often lacking in his valued functions, like math or tedious and taxing games. Maybe if the man would sit down with a brush and canvas, he would discover his calling

Anyway, welcome to the forum! Also, congratulations on your being certain about your type! Such a feat cannot be said of many, and I should thing you're spot on if your expression here is uninfluenced by thoughts of typology.
