I am a virile semi-legend around here and much more interesting and real than the old farts in their suits. And as you might have noticed Mr. t16t of 2012 is pretty good at making people like himself.

Nobility is cute and all but not an option. It starts from things like dressing convincigly and goes to more corrupt lenghts like talking to a potential voter and letting that person assume that I am on his/her side, even when there would be better candidates for his/her agenda. It doesn't have to involve lying but it's similar to sucking up to the potential employer: you don't tell that you lack initiative and smoke weed.
In my case, the employer is a city of 250.000 people. I have to convince that I am their best choice or someone else will take the place. I am doing this to get across the things I believe in. It will involve doing things I don't like to but it's done for what I believe is the greater good. If there were only intellectuals, I could make a strong case with complete honesty and logical argumentation but as we all know it ain't so.

At least with prostitutes everyone knows what's the deal but politicians are further from the practicers of an honorable profession.

You'd be surprised how many well-intentioned people enter politics with this mindset, then "sell out for power" just like you do, and over years have their morals and ethics completely corrupted, until one day they're just puppets fulfilling the wishes of the powers that be. If you're honestly doing this to try to help people, I'd suggest avoiding politics altogether, and pursue something else. If not, be careful.

I realized this and it makes me sad how one might go against it's principles in order to gain a position to make an impact only to be indoctrinated in to the shit.
It's a real dirty job but someone's got to do it. I must be vigilant and keep my standards high although they are bound to give out more or less. Few reasons I might more corruption resistant:
1. I practice material asceticism. It's harder to bribe/lobby me since I am not that interested in wealth. I'd rather expose any faction that tries such. Good PR.
2. The strategy of me and Pirate Party involves openness. If and when I'll reach parliament, I will keep my property open for public and give most of my income to charity organizations chosen by voters. This will enforce reason number one and also look good.
3. I simply despise corruption. The reason I am confessing it is because I am just telling what I will have to resort to for what I believe is the greater good. Citizens should understand that the system is rigged for those who don't play along and I will use my voice to show the shit I'll have to deal with.

I have taken influences from Plato's ruling caste that were nigh incorruptible since they were permitted of owning private property. I find the idea of forced ascetism to the ones in charge to be the interesting, although I don't yet see it as a realistic agenda to push for.
