Lol sure as fuck not SEE
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Ssmall and i have barely had any interaction, so even if he is serious about it, it doesn't really mean much imo.

If I have any input, no she's not quite. Her emotionality is much more innerly motivated and personal, quite reminiscent of the other IEEs here, deals in more discrete ethical issues, nowhere near as stiff and calculating (or rather behaviorally attentive) as any ESEs come across to me.

i guess if this is what you see, IEE makes sense? i just have an entirely different impression.

to me she seems pretty concerned with making emotional impact and going along with the ethical status quo, similar to mountain dew with the "lets be good moral citizens and best friends 4ever! " sort of stuff.

i'm not entirely closed off to the idea of her being IEE, especially since so many people seem to take it for granted. but... eh it would be hard sell for me.

I think mountain dew vs workaholics is a nice comparison. Similar personality and tastes, it's really worth it to continue to look at the source and intention of the general feeling itself, I think theirs' is quite different from one another.

I have a pretty good feeling that this emotional impact isn't very intentional, but rather a learned way of thinking about people. In that, unlike with ESEs, it maintains a specifically low and prolonged actual impact in the way she conducts herself and thinks about people on a constant basis. It manifests more idealistically than typologically expressively or of one's nature and disposition.

Unless you mean how expressive she is, then that follows the same ruling described but is much less Fe-related. We can make a comparison to woofwoofl for how some Fi extroversion plays. A desire to show personal excitement for ones benefit or measure of quality of their own personality. To rate themselves as competent.

    poli you keep adding!

not sure what to say cuz I'm having a hard time following you except that its not about expressiveness so much as what looks to me like an adherence to an external status quo when it comes to ethics and emotions.

Do you think you can give an example or two of what she desires of the status quo. I'm curious if it's your subjective impression of the status quo or really her subjective impulse (). (because I don't think Fe types just go around talking and asking about the ethical status quo. that would just make them seem incompetent on their part and doesn't allow for any real first-hand experience. Fe needs to intuitively feel and immerse themselves in process as it's happening, not just learn to do right and apply their knowledge.)

yeah I think it kind of comes down to that question of whether its just because she happens to follow the status quo incidentally or something.

I'll probably say more about this with examples later when I'm not working.

Just keep in mind, Fe is a stimulus to detect the objective factual sources of feeling, not the status quo, so Fe is much more of an involved compassionate process. Thoughts about the status quo is really a bonus brought on by extensions of Fe.

That is why I'm being nitpicky. They're feeling functions, first and foremost.

woofwoofl's "emotional expression" is a lot more subdued than WA's, and there are hardly any similarities between them otherwise. find better subjects for comparison.

raaadio. you're someone who might be able to get me to consider IEE more heavily if you ever feel inclined to talk about it.

what i have in mind isn't really stuff i could correlate directly to the elements so much as gestalt impressions when comparing her to other people and my reactions to her and stuff, so i don't expect to make a great objective case tbh. plus i'm just not very good at quantifying this stuff. what comes to mind almost immediately is her position about curse words in another thread and how she backed herself up with statements about how using foul language is a sign of poor intelligence which is the same kind of Fe "fact" you might see from somebody like mdew in one of his speeches about Hard Work and Dedication (tm) or something (yeah my bias is showing but w/e i don't feel like pc-ifying it). and what might be considered Fi is something that makes me really uncomfortable, when she publicly almost chastises people for their sense of relationship to her, "dont you LIKE me!! we are FRIENDS!!" - idk i mean i think people see that and think "Fi" but if it IS Fi then maybe it's some strange delta brand that i'm unfamiliar with because it makes me cringe. like, those kinds of sentiments should be more private and subtle, or something.

one possiblity is that if she's a 2 i could be getting that confused with ESE because my mind links ESE and 2 together a lot.

is adorable the word you're looking for, really? it seems like a passive-aggressive stand-in word for something else.

i started this thread when WA and felafel were arguing in a different thread and it seemed like a hot enough topic to inspire some discussion. i was wrong until you came, so. ninety-nine percent of my activity on the forum is motivated by boredom lol.

hate is a strong word. i don't hate her.

edit: is that your way of saying you're bowing out?

Substantiate this with evidence before making that sort of claim.

From lungs: "more like mountain dew and yellow82 than slacker or anndelise."

    More like: both Heart/Shame e-types.
    Than: both Head/Anxiety e-types.

Seems worth highlighting that as as mentioned the enneagram type may confuse the way she comes across. T'would also potentially explain the comparatively higher focus on external/widely accepted by society standards and ethics.

yeah. I don't think I could be convinced she's an IEE 6 but if she's an IEE 2 it would help me get an idea of what a non-ese 2 looks like since I tend to conflate the two

Well, getting one's E-type is fairly easy for me. Funniest thing is when a person talks with you he/she judges you unconsciously resulting in a part of his/her behaviour and mannerisms to be projected onto you. Like I said, some people do not even notice they do that. I found this to be quite effective when considering someone's E-type and I rarely miss.
