Default Late 90s Early 2000s Music Thread

Post your favorite songs from the 90s to late 2000s! If you grew up in this time period you might have a special place for this music in your heart like I do. I broadened the spectrum a little to allow more variety but it must have dat feel good flava'! Anyone is welcome to share but please spoiler your videos so the thread is easy to access.

@Baby reminded me of this song I used to listen to on the radio

The Des'ree video isn't loading for me, and all the code seems to be right, so idk what's happening. I tried taking out the "=youtube..." part but it keeps changing the code back to that version when I save it.

Okay, the spoiler doesn't work if you have an apostrophe in the title.

We need a "Love" button. Late 90s/early 2000s was the heady, exhilarating, intense burgeoning of my adolescence.

Cool thread, If you want you can make this into the whole 90s/early 2000s thread to allow more variety in songs.

Despite being a breakup song, this was played at every single dance I ever went to from sixth grade through high school Prom:

I liked this one a lot. It was the first song I learned to play on guitar. I need to pick mine up again:

What do you mean? What's preventing variety?

OHH GOD NOOO. I hated this song. They played it at every picture slide show at my highschool.

I used to record songs off the radio onto my little cassette tape. And my older friend introduced me to Britney Spears and she was the *devil* according to our parents but that didn't stop us from going around singing "Oops I Did It Again".

Not necessarily variety, I just meant if it included the early and mid 90s it would allow more songs, but it's your thread so it's completely up to you.

I'm gonna be posting some early 90s stuff as well, just cuz I'm oldschool, lol.

LOL! Yeah, it did get annoying after a while. All our slideshows featured "That's What Friends Are For" by Dionne Warwick. I can't listen to that song anymore without feeling like I'm about to graduate middle school, lol.

I did that, too, hah. CDs were expensive back then. God, when I think how spoiled kids today are with free music available 24/7.

Eurodance was huge in South Jersey/Philly when I was in fifth grade. Listening back on this stuff makes Dubstep sound even more shitty by comparison. My brother listens to dubstep, and... I just. don't. get it. WTF is that shit?

Old Green Day was so much better, even though most of their new songs are good too.

I listened to this a lot after my brother died, even though I don't really *like* Travis.

Also listened to this a lot after that.

Oh and I heard this when I was eight and I thought it described my perfectly. "I just can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read." I'm still forever accidentally hurting/insulting people.

This is the song I remember being on the radio constantly.

Dave Matthews Band, and The Thong Song.

Also, some of the songs above blow my mind in hindsight.
I would say that ethically you are still supposed to act as if you have unilateral responsibility; but simultaneously you have to be able to see the other as a fully autonomous, free, aware person.

Medicalizing social problems has the additional benefit of rendering society not responsible for those social ills. If it’s a disease, it’s nobody’s fault. Yay empiricism.

This is more early 90s but fuck it:

But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Man, heh looking back at the late 90s early 2000s, it feels like I was really out of it. Never had the state of mind to go looking for info on the songs I liked which... includes their name. lol yeah really out of it. Recently, however, I made sure to snap up a couple songs that went through my Pandora pipeline which had the scent of times lived long ago. Ah... nostalgia.

Ahaha, nowadays this song is associated in my mind with all those commercials on cartoon networks telling kids to go out in the sun and get exercise. Not exactly the best connotation Really, though, how the hell did that relation overwrite its feature in Shrek? That movie is da bomb

ohmygoodness Capitalist Pig beat me to this song. Hrmm... alright how about another song then?

Now this is a song that makes my body want to get moving lol if maybe I don't think to much on lyrics. I don't think it really occurred to me back then how, uh, unusual the focus of this song is
