    Default The Green Mile

I watched this film a few days ago (finally) and I'm really impressed. One of the best movies I've ever seen. It seems to have it all: the good, the evil, the fantasy. It keeps you focused all the time. It makes you cry. It makes you laugh. And it makes you think that it's a well-made film. And evokes good feelings.

To me this film seems delta. I've been wondering if you have any opinions of the character's types.
I'd say Tom Hanks and his wife are a Delta couple. The healer is hm...maybe EII? maybe SEI?

    Any opinions?

I've seen it a really long time ago, do not remember much of it to actually say anything about people in it, but it wasn't bad, I think.

I've seen this so many times it's getting embarrassing. I cry like a waterfall every time I see mouse killing scene. Delta sounds right to me, Paul (Tom Hanks) could be Si-LSE maybe..?

That's what I thought of his character as well. LSE- Si seem to fit. I'd say Brutal is LSE as well. And what about the villain guard? Is he beta? I'd say beta for the prisoner who actually killed these two girls, too - probably EIE.
It's really astonishing how the quadras conflict are depicted in fiction, without any prior knowledge about socionics. I'm wondering if Stephen King or the director is delta by any chance.

Sam Rockwell is the man, one of my favorite actors.

Is this the movie where there's a prison and a mouse that gets killed?
And I would hide my face in you and you would hide your face in me, and nobody would ever see us any more.

I like "The Green Mile" too, I read the book ages ago back in middle school, and I've watched the film I think 3 times or so through the years.

I think Tom Hanks is IEE in real life, and the couple as Delta makes sense in the movie too... I think the movie contrasts well just doing a job to get by, and 'hold the hand' of genuine people close to death, versus categorizing and punishing those who have committed heinous crimes.

The prison guard who wants to beat the prisoners, and exert his dominance, given the position by his relative without truly 'earning' it, I feel can be Beta, possibly ESTp. The message of the movie could be a Beta/Delta contrast/comparison.

Ugh. I hate that move. Pretentious drivel. Stephen King is ceaselessly annoying and derivative.

lmao you really are set on this whole sam rockwell thing

I like the soundtrack composing thomas newman does, he has a very good style for these sorts of a pastoral heartfelt scores, which is a perfect style for the movie green mile. He also did the soundtrack to road to perdition, which tom hanks also played in, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a common director or something. Here's a sample of a song by Thomas Newman

I really like the way the strings build from the simple piano theme and then how it goes into the end part where everything is diffuse and spacey. There is also a sort of leaf on a breeze fluidity to the score.

When I was reading the book for the first time I cried for a good hour and half throughout the last 100 pages or so.

I actually have no opinion on the characters' types.
