This is actually a random section of book shelf. Sadly you cant see the best book "Cachorros." I think the oddest thing is probably the Italian translation of an Icelandic play. The first Left Behind book is also on that shelf. haha

this shelf seemed the most appropriate because its the only one that isn't alphabetized and so has the most variety. it has old schoolbooks and a few i haven't read, though.

I'm pretty sure I was reading Shakespeare's sonnets in grade three.

I had *no* idea that Nightmare Before Christmas was a novel. Or did they just get a crumby ghostwriter to write one based on the success of the film?
Unfortunately, my humble library is locked away in storage, but it wasn't that impressive to begin with.
It's not :S I just have a few DVDs mixed in there because, for the most part, it's arranged by size.
Kind of did annoy me, though, when they had someone write a book based on the Series of Unfortunate Events movie... which was based on the actual book series.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

I'm not going to throw my books in the trash. I reread many of them. Nor am I going to throw them on the floor or keep them lying around my kitchenette. Hence: bookshelves.

I sold half my books at the time for increased space earlier this year and the current lot are in "piled storage."Do have a pic of my old bookshelf somewhere though, possibly maybe.

I don't really own many books because I get so much from the library, but this shelf has some of my favorites. I haven't actually read Thus Spoke Zarathustra or The Picture of Dorian Gray, though.
I don't have a bookshelf nor books in paper form.
You can safely skip Thus Spoke Zarathustra if you're older than 15 and you don't need to read it. Do read the Wilde though.
Unfortunately most of the books i've read have been returned to the public library.
Odd Thomas is my favorite novel.
Projection is ordinary. Person A projects at person B, hoping tovalidate something about person A by the response of person B. However, person B, not wanting to be an obejct of someone elses ego and guarding against existential terror constructs a personality which protects his ego and maintain a certain sense of a robust and real self that is different and separate from person A. Sadly, this robust and real self, cut off by defenses of character from the rest of the world, is quite vulnerable and fragile given that it is imaginary and propped up through external feed back. Person B is dimly aware of this and defends against it all the more, even desperately projecting his anxieties back onto person A, with the hope of shoring up his ego with salubrious validation. All of this happens without A or B acknowledging it, of course. Because to face up to it consciously is shocking, in that this is all anybody is doing or can do and it seems absurd when you realize how pathetic it is.
One post in this thread is really scary, the same way as that thread some time ago which I found pretty scary after reading one post and realising it can't be a coincidence.
I mean, as if you read it once, read it twice, read it for the third time and nothing thinking nah it can't be, but after reading it for the fourth time I was thunder struck.

I don't keep them because I hope others will read them so I donate them for reuse. I like the concept of New things, like the future where books will be easily accessible without paper products being used. I love your idea, but it's just too much space consumption.

Did you know you can actually burn books to save space and dance around the fire while burning them and did you know books are, in fact, ozone friendly like this one?
Anyway, me and myself included can't wait for the future where I'm going to be able to read books in pdf. and docx. format, too.
