    Default discojoe

I've talked to a number of people about Peter's type. I haven't said much on the forum, but I'll go ahead and put up a poll anyways. There are people voting shit like ISTp and ISFj in my thread, so I'll keep the choices pretty minimal.

I expect people who I don't talk to outside of the forum to vote ENTp for the most part. That's okay. It would prolly be rude for me to describe our personal lives in depth here on the boards... so it really can't be helped.

I'll say this about him though

Fi > Fe (Fe is generally aggressive and arrogant when used)
Ti > Te (not bad use of either)
    Fi > Ti
    Se > Si

    http://the16types.info/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2034

according to the erotic attitudes, he is most definitely the aggressor

he hasn't posted sufficiently seriously in order to gain any glimpse of his type. nonetheless, if you put a gun to my head i say ESTp.

He does seem to display more Se than anything overall in his posts here. Yeah, the Ti is there. this poll, in all honestly, is mostly for those who I've actually had conversations with on the matter. I anticipate most people to ENTp, just because that's what he's always been thought to be and he doesn't portray his irl self at all on the boards or in the chat. Even when we thought he was ENTp, I always got frustrated with people for comparing possible ENTps to him, telling them that Peter is nothing like what he portrays himself to be here.

My guess is, as always, ISTj.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

As I've stated in the Intertype Relations forum, I've seen that this can sometimes be the case.

Mmhmm. It's incredible how little Socionics matters when the people actually have other things going on in their lives. Especially if there are mental health issues involved.

hmmm I wouldn't use "teddy bear"... he's cuddly, but not soft

the russians swore he's INFj, and I had 2 main reasons this cannot be true:

1.) there are a lot of functions stronger than Ne

2.) there are few, if any, functions that are as strong as Se... he's just simply not as soft as INFjs

You seem to me, discojoe, like a social commentator who uses strong logic and aggression to make your points. You also seem to know people's weaknesses inside and out. My ISTj friend was like that, that's why I say ISTj.

I typed the function relations you presented into one of the new tests in the forum (I used simple heuristics and my personal experience to fill in the parts that were only indirectly specified) and here is the result:
    http://www.people.iup.edu/rdxm/ptest_results.htm?Type=2 / INTp

So..I cannot vote for ENTp or ISFj since both are wrong It seems you are an ESFp/INTp couple (if you are duals that is). Make a vote on that

I thought Se = power, Fi = friends how is that worthless? You once said you pwn your environment which kinda sounded like Se dominant to me. You also seem very generous, loving and supporting towards your family and friends and good at making new contacts which could indicate strong Fi. At least the ESFp/INTp thing is something new to think about

    Clarification:

I do not consider Joy's reasoning to be necessarily invalid or illogical. Joy is a very good logical thinker (believe it or not ). My main problem is that anyone could argue to me that I am any type and make it sound feasible, as I lack a concrete perspective of Socionics on which to correlate my ideas with someone else's.

When it comes down to it, most type arguments sound made up to me.

I hardly know discojoe, but if I had to choose a type for him, I think it is possible for both discojoe and Transigent to be ESTP logical subtype IMO.

Joy, Please bolden which traits of Se you do not have.

    Jung's function: Extraverted Sensing

Socionics function: black sensing - force - volitional sensorics

outward traits of object - shape, old vs. young, worth or cost, appearance, energy of object, strength, readiness, willpower, mobilization

    Positive(short range):
    Deduction of authority, insubordination, protection, defense, retaliation, counterattack, hardness, upholding of the interests, strong-willed pressure from below upwards, will power, possession;

    Negative (long range):
Capture of authority, submission, attack, aggression, attack, the initiative, persistence, insistence, strong-willed pressure from top to down, the statement of the interests due to others, overthrow, weakness, lack of will, mastering.
