Default Is bronze tool making the way of the future?

Some small internet based companies seem to be appear to be trending that way.

A situation where tools deter slugs... sounds to me like what a modern system of production is supposed to be.

I've been searching the internet for a witty response. Perhaps your post may also be suitable for another recent thread.

The thread seems like something tcaud would have posted - only it would have been a strange rhetorical question. "Is bronze tool making the way of the future? Is this the true direction of capitalism?"

Wait, copper and tin are both soft metals, aren't they?
Why use a soft metal for digging in the ground??
And why would one need a slug deterrant for a shovel??
Don't get me wrong, copper and bronze are fetishes of mine...but I think this company is trying to pull a fast one.

Having said that, the tools are damned perty!!

Don't worry, if you use these tools, maybe you'll find that even shale rock does better.

It doesn't actually work that way.
Copper deters slugs only if the slug crawls across a single strip ..and it's whole body fits on that strip. Then it gets an electrical shock that doesn't kill it, but makes it want to back away. To make use of this, gardeners use copper tape which has a sticky side and a coppery side...then wrap it around a pot, a bed, table legs, whatever access method it would have to the plants. The wrap has to be rather wide. If a slug is accidently trapped inside the area you don't want it...then you'll likely soon have little sluggies despite your precautions.

These tools are only useful against slugs as a torture device, laying the full blade onto the underside of a slug so it could get zapped...but not killed.
