    Default Socionics Test on HelloQuizzy

I've written a new socionics test which I call the Socionics Type Indicator (STI) Version 1.

Version 2 will be made this upcoming summer using PHP and featuring more questions when certain parameters are met to improve accuracy.

Try out Version 1 of the STI here:

    Sensory-Logical Introvert (SLI)

it was complex with lots to read and that will probably throw off people who don't have an interest in socionics in the first place. and i'm not sli but hey, lol. taking tests when i know what the questions are indicating is weird and throws me off.

Your result for The Socionics Type Indicator ...

    Ethical-Intuitive Extravert (EIE)

It was accurate but complicated at the same time. Otherwise, pretty good test.

What didn't you like about Paragraph H that caused you to choose Paragraph D over it?

Surely if you know what the questions are indicating you wouldn't have chosen the clear alternative to the one an ESI would normally choose

Imagine a person who is sincere, tactful and moralistic. This person naturally pays attention to the status of their relationships, being able to clue in to how others feel towards him and knowing how to act appropriate to the relationship. Preserving the quality of a relationship is very important to this person and as such he will often keep up a polite smile, tempering his words to minimise offence in any situation. He is opinionated on how someone should behave towards other people and often advises people how to act morally, often reacting critically to perceived immoral behaviour in others. While a natural at managing people’s attitudes towards him, this person is lessaware that he is acting efficiently. As such he desires a factually knowledgeable person who can cut out unnecessary actions and make life run more smoothly.

Imagine a person completely in tune with their bodily sensations. This person takes life at a comfortable, slow pace. To such a person, it does not matter who wins the most competitions or is the best in some concrete statistic; what matters is enjoyment and this person goes to great measures to ensure is comfort and those of others. He pays great attention to the aesthetic of his surroundings, cultivating pleasant sensations and ensuring a well decorated space, cooking good food etc. Despite excelling(doing fine) in these day to day tasks, this type tends to be quite modest, not being able to see his potential. As such, he looks to someone who can bring new, interesting ideas to the table and let him know just what he is capable of.
dunno, i bolded what i relate to. i think its a combination of:

    1. not really identifying blatantly with the base function because its just the natural way of being (i think others who know me might bold more of the first paragraph than i did from an outside perspective)
    2. i don't really care much for these particular descriptions to begin with. but i lean more towards jcf definitions so thats a preference on my part that might be irrelevant to how you would type me, or whatever.

JCF descriptions? But they're very different to Information Elements :S

This is very interesting. I was worrying more about people who were not ESI scoring ESI than the other way round. Paragraph H has proved to be the most popular choice.

ILE, which is sort of close so kudos. But then again, I kept selecting the same answer, so maybe I wasn't be adequately reflective as I answered and just basing it off what type I thought I was.

Pretty close. Got LIE(12%) over LSE(7%). Anyway, a bit longish test, it killed me on second page already having forgot what letters I went with.

You're meant to answer the same way throughout if ILE of IEE. LIIs and LSIs are meant to change their mind when they encounter paragraph F.

Definitely Extraverted Logic leading then. So you're an LSE who prefers how the LIE creative and vulnerable sound to that of LSE?

    LIE

A good one! That's the first test I do to get my correct type.

Probably a better refining of the text will further improve its quality.

It is just a test and I could fuck it up somewhere. Questions were very socionics laden is what I mean, don't know if it makes sense or not, and I don't know what your second statement is supposed to mean.

Based on your result, the only place you could have messed up was the very last question i.e. Question 31 on the second page.

By choosing M over N you chose LIE over LSE.

A big difference I catch between me and most other people is they think about shit and get entangled in this labyrinth of ideas, and they just need to smash down those walls and do whatever... it's less about me acknowledging myself as a person of great force (I was incapable of pulling a pallet of fries because I hadn't enough body weight to overcome its inertia, many other people there have no such problem), but it's the one thing I'm most comfortable with... it's crazy, me and someone twice my size (likely ESxp 8w9) were getting heated up, and I got more sure of myself the closer we got to a brawl, and he was losing his composure, spilling drinks all the while... once I know where I stand with someone, the more certain I am that I'm not gonna ass something up with people, and it's smooth sailing from there on out... it's the fucking ambiguity that does me in...

Have broken teeth to prove it. Anyway, I think I know what's wrong with this test. It reminds me of one I took a long time before and received somewhat similar result which is not very satisfactory.

    My results gave:

    Intuitive-Logical Introvert (ILI)

Though it was not a clear choice between K & L on question 30. If I had chosen L over K then result would have been:

    Intuitive-Ethical Introvert (IEI)

Honestly, I didn't really like the test. It was very predictable if you know the typical buzzwords for each IE. I exactly knew what was asked and it was hard not to choose the options which were "right" according to my self-typing. The type also doesn't make much sense, I'm very sure that I'm not extroverted.

You can be an introvert and still be an LSE. Extraversion/Introversion in the traditional sense is more to do with Big 5 than Socionics.

you seem to be trusting your test over peoples' self-reports when their answers to the question are also self-reports. were you hoping for feedback when you posted this? what is your objective?

    close enough at least

Test told me I was EII, which is one of the types I'm considering. I like gamma NTs more though and people here seem to think I'm ESI, so I dunno.

Sole reason is, I think I'm clearcut ST to begin with so better find some STs in gamma quadra.

It was a really tough call between the two and I could go either way; I do good in debates because unlike text, I have speed and volume and voice tone and gestures I can all use; I don't always know specifically what to do with people to rally them on my side, though much of it has to do with looks; I'm not huge into the moralizing because then I'm worried I'll piss someone off and they'll stay pissed off! As long as those people are outnumbered in some sense, I don't give that much of a shit, but still...

Ultimately it's whether you prefer Extraverted Sensing or Extraverted Intuition in Socionics. Are you easily able to assert yourself when your ethics tell you to or is this an area of difficulty? Is your area of difficulty more about seeing the potential of others?
