Default Lazy XSIs. Do they exist?

Well, not necessarily lazy. But descriptions of LSIs and ESIs lead me to believe that they are all hard-working, diligent people who pay great attention to detail.

    Is this indeed the case?

I know a friend I wonder if might be ESI, but she has said things like she is very good at finding the quickest way to do things while still doing a good job (and she does indeed do a good job on most things). Perhaps this is efficiency... she might be dualized, I suppose.

They're usually diligent and attentive to details, but I wouldn't necessarily call them hard-working. They focus their attention on their duties (most IJs do, but IJs-Ne have their Ne - helps when they want to break free from the daily routine), therefore they give such an impression since they don't necessarily spread themselves thin by taking part in thousands of activities - something that their duals have a tendency to do.

There are no lazy people, just unmotivated people.

It really depends. I think there is a fairly simple algorithm to decide to work hard at a situation, let's say in emergency:
    - I understand the situation fully
    - I agree with the reasons for that situation
    - The situation is not due to someone's incompetent neglect or is reasonably unforeseen in my mind
    - I have sufficient resource
    - I have the ability do something about it
    - I am doing things in the most efficient way in my mind
    - no one is taking advantage of the situation or possibly intentionally created the situation
    - there is a motive for me to work hard. eg. being a hero, extra money, gaining favors

    Then I'll consider working hard.

I can be lazy when I've to do something I don't wanna do.
Most of the time, I'm not.

Pretty much. Also add that I work harder when I am doing so for myself.

I consider myself lazy compared to many people who work harder than I would for less reason, which I see all the time. And I shortcut like mad, so..... I need a good reason to work hard.

I'm really having trouble with the socionics LSI descriptions. I consider mbti ISTP descriptions to be much more pertinent to describing my personality, although I don't think anyone has truly captured me in words yet. I wonder if that's possible.
