I get weird side effects to many drugs..I have allergies like crazy...
I don't get sick often, but when I do, I get really sick.
I can sleep erratically and be fine.

I also have never puked from drinking too much. I think I handle alcohol alright.
And I would hide my face in you and you would hide your face in me, and nobody would ever see us any more.

I have really bad allergies to grasses and trees. I dread warming weather because everyone goes out to cut their lawns, and i'll get sick within an hour, which will last for days. I get hives, but mostly I get sinus issues. I,m also very allergic to cats, and live with three of them. My bedroom has three air filters running in the warmer weather, and one by my bedside that's for every night. My allergies to grasses/trees has gotten worse over the years, my allergies to cats is slowly improving. Needless to say, I'm constanly blowing my nose and/or sneezing, though.

I'm naturally very moody (putting it mildly), and any drugs that influence moods can lead to unpredictable results. (except coffee putting me to sleep, usually)

Over the years I've developed stomach issues regarding grains, even gluten free ones. This sux cuz i really love oatmeal, but it'll make me gaseous and vomity for about 24 hours or so, sometimes longer. I'm also having to cut out dairy foods.

I figure most of this is due to not having taken care of myself over the years. (including my back issues)

Other than allergy colds, I used to rarely get sick. But now I've got daughter bringing home stuff from school, and richard bringing stuff from work and his gaming sessions. Bah.

Oh, And I,m a cheap date (get drunk too easy, but never to throwing up). Actually, i can be completely sober and people think i've had too much to drink, lol.

Other than my security box of tissues and bag, I'm not particularly needy. I may pick and choose my times to garden, or may not be able to walk/hike on certain days, but I don't give up either. And i work hard to try to keep my moodiness from negatively impacting those around me.

Anyhow, with all that said, i have a neighbor who's constantly seeing a dr for this, a dr for that, and a different dr for yet another thing. It's constant. And then she brags about how good some homeopathic thing helped with this issue and that issue and how healthy it all is. Uhhhh, yeah.

I'm mostly fine but I can't handle being sleep-deprived. My brain just doesn't work well.

I'm also a bit of a picky eater, but mostly out of taste concerns.

I have no idea how people can go nights without sleeping. The only times I stayed up all night were in moments of great physical anguish (twice, and both involved vomiting!) or emotional distress. I tend to be alright with about 7 hours of sleep every night. I used to be a much more picky eater than I am now, mostly towards things with mushy textures. I used to get really bad sinus headaches when I was in high school; I'm still prone to them now, but not nearly as often or severe. I haven't been drunk before and don't ever plan on it, so I don't really know what my limit is. I imagine it's fairly normal, or at least higher than my brother's.

Supposedly I'm allergic to everything known to mankind but the only thing I ever noticed were pet allergies. I can't remember the last time I was sick and I dunno, I used to think I had a high tolerance to everything but the slightest deviation from feeling "normal" is immediately noticed and I tend to get panicky when that happens. One thing i'm super picky about is temperature. I cannot, cannot CANNOT tolerate coldness. I just can't. Ew. I can't even think or function if i'm cold. But it has to be cold when I sleep or I won't be able to sleep at all. And I can't wear socks in bed. My sleeping pattern is truly messed up. Some nights i'll sleep 13 hours and then others, 3...i function perfectly fine on 3 hours of sleep..sometimes even better than when i sleep a lot. I dunno. I'm really sensitive to like...gross things. Like other peoples bodies and their functions and germs and things. It creeps me out.

I'm fairly healthy and don't complain much about my physical state or the temperature. I'm a lot more mental though so the entire mind over matter thing applies rather strongly in my case. I'm more annoyed by things that disrupt my mind over things that disrupt my physical state.

I've stayed up over 24 hours on several occasions and past 48 hours once... I do not like to do this though as I've realized how bad it can be in disrupting your rhythm. Ideally I would actually like to sleep and be awake on a cycle other than 24 hours and therefore revolve at a consistent rate through many different schedules.

I want to say about average to all of the above. there is absolutely no way id go days without food or sleep though. especially sleep, id just pass out after a day or so. I think a lot of this is psychological. like when I want food or sleep I get preoccupied with it and thinking how I can obtain it asap. where some other things like pain or temperature I'm more likely to just accept it and wait it out. so I probably appear to have a higher tolerance but its not because I don't notice. I handle alcohol fairly well, I've only vomited once or twice ever, but my reactions to different drugs vary. the only thing I'm allergic to is codeine.

    You're about 20, 21, 22, somewhere in there...right?

Pretty much everyone under 27-28 is kind of indestructible; don't worry, you'll start losing bodily costitution before you know it...I used to be able to drink the better part of a handle of Jack Daniels and have pretty much no adverse reactions; I tried a fifth of Jim Beam on St. Patty's day this year and I was completely blackout.

I have allergies to mold, dust, animals (on Claritin year-round) but can eat anything. Can't drink more than about 2 1/2 glasses of wine without feeling nauseous but otherwise, fine. I do need my sleep and I've always been that way. I can function on four hours now and then as long as it's not several days in a row of that. I'm pretty much still the same as I was when I was 18, health and sensitivity-wise.

    i agree with fabio, and galen. i just went two nights with only like 6-7 hrs of sleep and i was totally unmotivated and tired throughout the entire day. besides that I'm a champ. No noticable allergies, never had a serious health problem., etc. I am super sensitive to drugs(meaning i need only small doses, even OTC stuff) but this is positive no???? I alsssooo have incredible sensitive skin, some would say thats a plus. !! (; (; (;

    • I don't have any allergies that I know of.
    • I can go without food/sleep for days. (It's just not something that occurs to me, unless I have a goal in mind, e.g. need to get up early tomorrow.)
    • I can drink tap-water without getting sick. (fuck yerr!)

    • I catch a cold insanely fast though, even in summer.
    • I am irritatingly picky about food and tend not to eat or drink most things.
    • I get easily tired walking, and it's hard to push myself.
    • I've never drank enough to get more than tipsy, but that doesn't take a lot.

You're not so tough Allie. I bet Brandon Irons could still break you in a porn shoot!!!

as for me, idk. I'm probably more sensitive than most. I've been told by others that "I don't realize my own strength" or something. I wonder sometimes if they are just trying to make me feel better for being shy. haha. I don't know it's probably true. I like being secretly powerful. <3

I hardly ever get sick. but i hate sports and pushing myself... like an estj business man.

I've dealt with health issues since birth, made worse by doctors, and have spent my life basically chasing true "health." I don't get viruses easily, though. I can't eat gluten but have no other allergies, fortunately, though a lot of foods seem to make my acne worse. And I need to sleep and eat or I am a mess.

I've never had allergies and I'm not allergic to any foods or medicine.

When I'm underweight I tend to get sick more often in the winter... but when I'm at a healthy weight, I hardly ever get sick.

Lately I think I may have some kind of stomach condition. I feel hunger pains, but I'm never actually "hungry" if that makes sense. When I do eat, I feel nauseous, like I want to throw up. I think this is heavily linked to my anxiety. I think I fucked up my system back when I suffered from an eating disorder.

I'm very sensitive to cold temperatures, but I can take the heat like a man.

I guess I'm sensitive to weed, if that makes sense (also probably an anxiety issue). I don't like it. I also get drunk fast & can be an aggressive drunk person.

yup. I think this is pretty darn true.

I think possibly with some substances, the ones I for some reason have an affinity to (the ones that speak to me on this cellular level that I'll probably never be aware of), that a little goes a long way. A little alcohol and I'm pretty darn drunk. (And I still don't know if I get "hang overs" after.) There was also my experience with percocet where it made me literally almost entirely physically numb and I felt the definite opiate effects of I guess bliss (I can't remember how that felt anymore but it was rather intense in its own way) and although it made me sweat rather profusely and I became irritable if I tried to concentrate or focus on anything (and eventually I realized my emotions were spiraling and I couldn't balance them), I didn't feel anything like nausea or any other real side effect. I suppose at times I wondered if I was breathing but that's probably because I read that an overdose can do that and I can be kind of a hypochondriac (all the more apparent by how I feel the need to read up on all the averse effects before I take something). My old doctor said that I'm very physically sensitive. But this was because when I was taking Amitriptylene eventually my heart rate was way too high and my blood pressure way too high when I came in and so he concluded I had to be taken off of it. I definitely started having panic attacks and I couldn't sleep because my heart was always pounding in my ear and eventually I realized that horrible dropping feeling I was experiencing was my heart actually skipping beats. This panicked me even more.

So I think that the side effect that I feel to a lot of things is anxiety, or on the other end of that, irritability. Otherwise, I don't really think I feel any side effects to things.

I think that I may well be highly physically sensitive constitution-wise, but not terribly aware of it the majority of the time. This lands me into trouble and I really think it's the perfect recipe for hypochondria (I'm not really a real hypochondriac because if I were I wouldn't wonder about it--I would simply be deluded). There are actual problems, but you don't know how to process, feel or understand them and so you do a lot of internet research and come up with theories that can only feed anxiety in the end and it can feel like these nebulous problems are never resolved. Like I'm stuck with them forever.

I really think my anxiety may have been caused by my thyroid med dose being too high for years. That's when I started having the heart pounding problem and panic attacks (although there were possible emotional causes since the year before it started I had been in horrible shape financially and was afraid of becoming homeless and the fear slowly seeped in, first being mostly in my dreams, but then it started edging into my consciousness). Anyway maybe with the combination, something was born in me that still lives there even after the circumstances were removed. I've felt so off-balance ever since. I can't balance out my anxiety and it's tied to physical problems and my brain chemistry is a mess. I can feel that I'm off balance but I don't know how to fix it. I think meditation could help if I'd do that more because I feel like I need a reboot, but one where in the "off phase" things could subtly repair themselves under the surface again on that strange cellular level.

As for allergies, I don't have any. And I rarely ever get sick. My old doctor thought my immune system was a bit overactive because I kept having weird inflammation problems.

Oh, and I hate hot weather. I really can't stand it. Or humidity. The last few years I haven't been noticing the extent of my suffering during the summer (I feel I'm numbing out of myself), but in general I think when I'm well, I'll be quite bothered by heat. I like 65 degrees.

I only puke after I mix vodka, beer, rum and weed. As for allergies, it mostly comes with Spring and passes quite fast. Can't recall the last time I was sick, like really sick. Not counting pneumonia due to cheap cigars but that was a long time ago.

Oh, I think they're yuck too. Although I haven't you know tried real ones and given how addictive they supposedly are I don't intend to. It just I think turns into this dead in the water thing with heightened irritability and out of control emotions. Maybe it also gets old. But I feel that way about a lot of things. I think probably I would like a stimulant over something that makes me dead in the water.

And I can't believe I forgot about caffeine. Something that helps me focus and get things done better than caffeine does but without killing me by sending my heart into overload and making me so anxious I think I'm dying would be something very appealing to me.

Try small doses of ketamine. Also B vitamins in quantity are good for this.

I don't have any food allergies or animal allergies, though in the springtime I often get stuffy/runny nose, and spending extended periods of time in dusty houses/rooms is also bad. I've never gotten any side effects from drugs either (or maybe I just can't connect them to the drugs, wouldn't be a surprise). I can deal with hunger alright, sometimes I'm so excited about something I do that I don't remember I haven't eaten the whole day so I may get dizzy and start feeling sick at some point. Like yesterday when I spent the whole day at Uni studying and got a flow feeling and realised I was hungry only when my stomach started making noises. I felt really weak when I woke up, but it hadn't bothered me at all until then. I'll still usually rather stay hungry than eat something that tastes bad and/or is unhealthy (unless it happens to be a particular favourite of mine) tho. The light feeling you get from not eating is kind of nice too. Another weird thing is that in a way I like the feeling of (mild) period pain. I think it's because I'm generally really bad at tolerating discomfort, and it's something that I'm used to and know will go away in time and I feel good for knowing that and being able to handle it.

When it comes to other physical discomfort I'm a real crybaby. I absolutely hate cold, and have always respected smokers for being able to go smoke outside in wintertime. This is probably one of my biggest weaknesses. I changed the school I was about to apply this year for another because I realised the first one had a 700m walk from my busstop and I know I'd bunk off school every single day of the winter that the temperature went under minus ten. I just can't take it. Hot air isn't much better, either. One of my worst memories from elementary school were assemblies where all students were stuffed into a small gym hall and it was hot and the air was really bad. I never really focused on the things that were said because I was so uncomfortable with the air.
I'm also bad at sleeping in bad beds. It's actually weird since I love hiking and sleeping in tents outside and usually sleep very well with roots under my back (not that I don't watch where i put my tent!), but maybe it's just because the fresh air and being tired after walking the whole day, go figure. Anyways, dirty sheets make me uncomfortable, wrong kind of pillows make my back hurt in the morning etc and I also suck at finding a comfortable position, even in my own bed. I usually stay in one position for only a couple of minutes until some part of my body starts to numb and I need to change. And this can happen a million times before I actually fall asleep.

My fingers go numb after 5 minutes of being in the cold (below 40 F), even with moving them.
I love the fall and spring-- not a huge fan of too cold or too hot, but both have their advantages(snow..and pools), so I don't mind too much, even though it gets hot as balls here by May.

I get dizzy, my blood pressure drops if I'm even the slightest bit dehydrated. Foodwise-- I'm fine if I'm hanging out, not doing much, but if I'm at work and I don't eat, I can't last more than 4-5 hours without something.

Sleepwise...I've gone 24 hours a few times without sleep b/c of finals and felt fine, but would have to sleep pretty much the next 24 hours to not feel exhausted.

Not picky, but I tend to like simple/healthy food--easier to make and not a fan of grease.... Slowly becoming lactose intolerant...no idea why, but I can't handle dairy anymore..so I've switched over to soy and almond products.

drink wise-- I'm a lightweight. weed makes me paranoid.

    ASHTON STRONG
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I have hay fever in spring, I get really grumpy when I'm hungry or sleepy, I don't notice when I walk into things, I hate any temperature outside of 17-23 degrees and either shiver or sweat a lot. It's gross.

Hmm I feel like my body could withstand a lot realistically.... but I just dont like the discomfort, I'm super picky with food, clothing (especially), temperature etc. I put off going to the doctors a lot and usually whatever it was goes away or I put it to the back of my mind. I have an allergy to pesticides which makes my mouth swell up and itch. I've got a prety flexible natural clock I can go to bed & wake up at whatever times and I'm not that disturbed.

The past few nights, particularly last night, had me thinking further on this thread. Sensitivity to noises and other sounds. I'm still pretty extreme on my sensitivity, though not as bad as I used to be. I can now handle music on low for about an hour, but still not the radio. I can hear the animals shifting positions in their beds in the other room, with the door closed, but no longer my daughter's shifting at the other end of the house.

I still cannot sleep much at all if I'm in a new area, particularly in a hotel, due to the area awareness while sleeping.

And snoring. Fucking snoring. I can now doze during heavy breathing and very light snores. But anything past that keeps me awake. I get irritable, want to do violence, and can't find a place in the house where I'm free from the noise. Even with ear plugs in, it's like nails on a chalk board, vibrating up and down my spine. The few times when i snore myself...i wake myself up in the process. Argh!! And this, despite multiple white noise machines in my room.

I never get sick and have no allergies, but am hyper-sensitive to my environment. often when I smoke weed, it'll feel like I'm 'within' every ping that hits me, whether it be a person's gesture, an oncoming train, or whatever. discomfort is usually removed just as quickly as it's caused, but sometimes I build momentum that nears spiraling off; reading peoples' facial expressions helps calibrate my moods. temperature-wise I prefer the cold, because at the most I'll just wear a light jacket and still maintain a feeling of tense agility, but it's always nice to stroll in sandals in the springtime. overall I prefer to be either in a completely controlled or chaotic environment; when I'm at work it can often get annoying if people aren't moving fast enough when it's busy, or making too much empty noise when it isn't; I'd rather just lie in darkness with music playing if not at a show. but yeah, everything has to be constantly filtered, because the slightest thing can set me off in a handful of directions at once, and I've had too many escapades to not have some respect for boundaries. overall I would liken my normal state of mind to a grotto of disjointed echoes.

Wow. that's sensitive. We have train tracks in back of our house and we used to get a train, sometimes two in the middle of the night. It only woke me up the first night. After that I slept through. I feel like I could sleep through a herd of cattle storming through the house. When my kids were babies, my husband had to get up and attend to them or else wake me up because I never heard them crying. LOL (kinda bad huh)

I wasn't thinking of sound. I'm incredibly sensitive to sound. I hate being surrounded by grating noise especially if it makes me unable to think or focus or hear someone else. I often feel there is way too much noise especially during leaf blower and lawnmower season which seems to be all year around, or whenever it's not raining. I hate loud trucks and engines too, especially when people park in one spot and leave them running. I get incredibly irritable and even angry in response to sounds such as these. Along those lines I also hate traffic. It's really stressful getting from point A to point B on foot when cars and bikes are coming at you from all sides (sometimes they're there before I even see them, especially in parking lots). And the utter impatience stresses me out too. For instance it seems a time rarely passes crossing the street at a crosswalk without someone in the turn lane edging their way towards me just a little too fast as though trying to herd me along or something, and then when I look at the driver they have this look of impatience on their face. I then may glare at them for being an asshole. They could at least be civil and honk their horn at me so we're clear on their real intention ("I'd run you over it weren't illegal"). It's like really, you can't wait until people have cleared the cross walk? I mean they're the one in a car, sitting presumably comfortably, and I'm the one on foot in far less convenient conditions, so they could accept that they're the ones better off and wait. I'm sure I don't know what it's like though to have your personality taken over by impatience when driving. It seems to happen to a lot of people. Being in a car means you go faster, which means you can probably afford to hold a much longer list of things to accomplish in your busied mind since you can get to them all so quickly now and so then you probably become even more impatient (especially after the frustrations involved in trying to find parking spaces and all the other cars "in your way"). Nothing feeds an addiction to speed and "I want it now" like more speed and availability to getting it now.

Yeah what is it about snoring and other repetitive noises that bothers us, where as white noise doesn't?? I've googled it but still havent got a good explanation yet.
