Yes, the US aren't a democracy. They just don't try harder to conceal it because it apparently works, almost nobody is complaining. Patriotic middle- and lower-class workers wave flags and preach the American way of life, but actually support a system which exploits and controls them. Europe is also largely undemocratic, but that might not be as obvious as in this case.
I don't know why most people can't see that their country is not much better than that:
„Man can do what he wants but he cannot want what he wants.“
– Arthur Schopenhauer
In Finland, we have not one, not two but six parties in the current government. Assuming left is basically more social services & taxes, Most Finnish parties are so left, a typical American would call them socialist. We don't have much right wing parties, even our nationalists, the Common Finns are pretty left. We have the most right wing parliament party, The National Coalition Party, in the government and it's leader, Jyrki Katainen, is the prime minister. Yet they're in the same government with Green League (red-green politics), Left Alliance (red-green politics), Social Democratic Party (supposed to be leftist policy), Christian Democrats (naïve outdated asswipe politics), Swedish People's Party (Finnish Right-Centre, eg. still a commie if on American soil). This government has sofar raised taxes and cut some social security services.
I still prefer multiparty system.
I'd be interested to see what other's got on this test.

I hate this test, because a lot of the queries are nonsensical or inapplicable. Like "controlling inflation is more important than controlling unemployment" -- what the hell? Why is that an either/or choice? Or "it's natural for children to keep some secrets from their parents" and "abstract art that doesn't represent anything shouldn't be considered art at all"; what does that have to do with anything?
Nevertheless, I took the test again (it has been a few years, after all), for shits and giggles. Though I think my dot needs to be much further south than where it is now.
Seems right, I guess. I should probably be a bit further south but overall it seems fairly accurate.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...
Mine has almost always been around where Gilly's is. I do believe, though, that the test is overly simplified and non-real.
