Default What 2012 US presidential candidate do you support?

Who do you support? Or if you haven't been following the race, or issues, and are unsure, or want to confirm your belief, or just want to take a quiz for fun, , answer 24 questions about your beliefs here:

    http://www.selectsmart.com/president/

Pretty neat quiz. Asks what your stance is on issues, and how much you prioritize them. Matches you up with the candidate who supports your beliefs the most.

I'm mostly independent, but tend to favor Republicans when it comes to economic issues, and tend to favor Democrats for ethical issues.

For the quiz, my top 3 were:

    Newt Gingrich, 76%
    Rick Santorum, 73%, and
    Mitt Romney, 72%.

Newt Gingerich is a personal ethical egoist.
    Mitt Romney is a narcissist.
    Santorum is a Gnosis.

Tests like that one cause civil wars.

This test is so biased lol

"2. What would be your ideal candidate's position on TAXES & GOVERNMENT SERVICES? There are two basic schools of thought on this topic. One side says, "a society is judged by the way it treats its most vulnerable members". The other side says, "reduce taxes so people can keep their money to solve their own problems".

    A) Would advocate increasing income taxes on the wealthiest one or two percent of Americans. Would favor the "government should help people" positions of groups such as the Children's Defense Fund and the Alliance for Retired Americans.

    B) Would embrace the philosophy that any increase of any taxes of any income strata hurts the economy. Would tend to favor the anti-tax positions of the National Taxpayers Union."

Wtf is with the wording here? Note that the italics over "any" on option B are from the test. No duh uninformed people are going to reject option B because it is made to sound extreme/absurd.

I allowed it to show candidates who are not in the official running. Here's my top 10:

    01. Ron Paul (85%)
    02. Robby Wells (70%)
    03. Rick Santorum (62%)
    04. Mitt Romney (59%)
    05. Newt Gingrich (57%)
    06. Herman Cain (54%)
    07. Gary Johnson (51%)
    08. Michele Bachmann (48%)
    09. Tim Pawlenty (48%)
    10. Rick Perry (47%)

Of course, this test is completely meaningless for me since I refuse to vote, and for most of the questions I had to choose the lesser evil.

In Mississippi, Romney did try out some Southern charm, telling his audience he was "an unofficial Southerner."

"I am learning to say y'all and I like grits, and things," he joked. "Strange things are happening to me."

Any tests that puts Perry, Bachman and Cain at the bottom, while placing Obama up high, is a good test for me:
