I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

He has a pronounced Ne-HA, seems a bit goofy and very extraverted, and it's the Te-subs who come through this way.
By enneagram probably a phobic e6w7 so/sx. E9 is another possibility but I think e6 is more likely.
I'm just a sheep, but I've been saying Te-ESTj for years now.

So does this mean that Aimee Mann probably isn't IEI. I've also considered ESI-Se and LSI-Se for her, as well as EII-Ne.
Then again, her covering "The Scientist" probably doesn't mean much.
Her cover of the song is in Ab Major (Libra), and I think the original is in F Major (Taurus). Both signs are ruled by the planet Venus.

O hai. I really don't know what type he could be... LSE seems a bit off for me though, considering that he's basing his career on continuously expressing his feelings through an artsy venue, when most, if not all, LSEs I know don't like dwelling on that type of stuff for long. I don't know why but I've always thought ENTj for him although I've never given it much thought. Anyway I've always been in love with him. I just love his songs and personality. Isn't he a little hmmm too delicate for ESTj?

If he's ESTj he's a really non typical one.
Maybe the mix with E6 is right although it's just a quess on my side (suggested by you here). Anyway, he's an artist so he's totally not a typical person, let alone ESTj.
*shrug* Sure. I never really connected to any of Phil Collins' songs. Billy Joel's songs aren't as emo-ish as Martin's though.
I honestly don't have much of an opinion on Chris Martin's type, yet it's cool that people have expressed theirs. I think A Rush of Blood to the Head and Parachutes were their best albums. I haven't listened to their other albums adequately, if at all, to make an informed opinion.
One of the greatest Coldplay songs, in my opinion. I'd say that my favorite Coldplay song is actually "Green Eyes", yet it's a love song, and I'm not really in love. Green Eyes is still my favorite Coldplay song though.
Aimee Mann's lyrics strike me as potentially Holographical-Panoramic. Either that or IEI.

Chris Martin is definitely not overbearing, so that takes LSE off the table. He lacks what I call the TeSi cop cognition (TeSi correlates best to enneagram 6)
