Music and Sexy Times
I figured this would be an appropriate topic to start on Valentine's Day.
What's your opinion on music during sex? Do you use it to set the mood, or think it's a distraction? What's the best music to get it on to? Any funny stories involving bad music choices?
Sex without music seems boring after years in college dorms spent using online radio as a noise buffer. Personally I'm a fan of trip-hop like Massive Attack, Portishead etc., but also think angry, feral stuff like Pixies or trippy stuff like Flaming Lips can be awesome. Good music can trigger some fun synesthesia in me that intensifies everything. I think I'd laugh if a guy suggested something smooth or romantic as a soundtrack, though; way too cheesy. Can anyone seriously bone to Marvin Gaye?
