    Cool In Treatment HBO show

    Very nice show!

    I agree with Paul INTj.
Laura doesn't seem that Si to me, Fe leading imo. Or maybe just sexy.
Alex is extroverted and Ni imo. His father could be ISTj.
    Sophie could be ENTj.
Jack is some kind of Se, Amy I have no idea... some j? (actress VIs ISTp to me).
    Kate seems to be Si.

I fucking love this show! I'm up to about the middle of sophie's episode, so here goes:

Jack - INTj...he's controlled, analytical and I see no Se

laura- probably INFp because of the Fe valuing and the way she described things...it wasn't Si'ish...like she would talk about something, then make some leap or abstract interpretation...plus she had a beta feel

army guy - lmfao he was hilarious...probably SLE...DEFINITELY Se valuing...maybe an ENTj absorbed in the Se agenda but I thought I saw nuances of Ti.

I don't know about this teenage girl, she's annoying anyway

I can see that, but she doesn't seem Ne at all. How about Fi seeking... ESTj? She seems very tough to me, in an id Se way, and j.

I watched the whole season over spring break, so here are my revisions:

    Paul: Ne-INTj
    Kate: Fe-ESFj
    Rosie: Fe-INFp
    Laura: besides fucking hot, Fe-INFp
    Alex: Se-ISTj
    Sophie: some ESFp
    Jake: most likely Se-ESFp
    Amy: most likely Te-ESTj
Gina: unsure, but I'll say Fe-ISFp
    Alex's dad: Se-ISTj
    sophie's mom: Si-ESFj
    sophie's dad: Se-ESTp

    think that's all...

    @Strrrn: hide the Alex spoiler...

Well all his aggressive behavior seems to be something he feels he has to do... as if he pays a lot of attention to it. It's imo the most important thing about the character, this need he feels to be tough. So basically I think the idea is of a Se HA or role. I don't see Si/Ne at all, while he is described as being dreamy and in his head when younger.

I don't see Fe in Kate.

you're correct in your assertion that alex feels he needs to be aggressive and tough, but you're reasoning is flawed. He behaves in this manner because of the way his father raised him, not because of an Se agenda. And Se isn't about being tough and aggressive, anyway.

You're probably right about Kate. Maybe she's an LIE.

Well ok, Se ego =/= aggressiveness, but TiSe is usually seen as tough, especially by non Beta.
He's tense, edgy, ready to snap, always moving, doesn't seem to be trying to control himself that much like an Ij would.
His romantic relationships also point away from aggressor imo.

good point about the lack of control...that makes ESTp seem more likely.

I don't know, maybe... I can't really pick that much up from the forum. In his video he seemed more p than Alex (and I do think they paid a lot of attention to body language in this show).

I guess I'm partly basing my typing on what I think the authors wanted to convey?

I thought this programme was going to be a documentary covering
    persons in various rehabilitation programs.

Its a very good show, showing the dynamics between a therapist, his patients, and his life. Its also a fairly accurate representation of how therapy works, although I'm not completely sure of what his theoretical orientation is (probably eclectic with some strong psychodynamic leanings). As it goes on, you get a very good idea of his and his patients' personalities too, which is why I posted about it in the first place.
