According to the test I am a Post-Modern Hedonist, although I think this is sort of circumstantial and normally would identify better with the Post-Materialist:

Thank you for completing the Mentality Value Test. On the basis of your answers, we have now determined which value profile best matches your answers. Your profile shows most similarities with the The Post-Modern Hedonist.

    The Post-Modern Hedonist

A pioneer of a culture of experience, in which experiments and breaking moral and social conventions have become separate objectives. Post-modern hedonists are individualistic and show a strong self-determination. They also attach a lot of importance to self-improvement and personal growth. People in this milieu have an independent lifestyle and find it very important to be able to make their own decisions about the things that concern them. It is remarkable how many post-modern hedonists are self-employed. Work is important, but not sacred: leisure activities can also provide intrinsic satisfaction. Post-modern hedonists enjoy art and culture (visiting museums, cabaret and theatres), but also go out a lot and are very sporty. The traditional family pattern less often prevails in this milieu.

The other profiles are less applicable to you and are shown below in decreasing order of appropriateness:
    • Post materialists
    • Kosmopolitans
    • Upper conservatives
    • Social climbers
    • Convenience oriented
    • Modern mainstream
    • Traditional mainstream

    Dear sir/madam,
Thank you for completing the Mentality Value Test. On the basis of your answers, we have now determined which value profile best matches your answers. Your profile shows most similarities with the The Traditional Mainstream Citizen.

    The Traditional Mainstream Citizen

A moralistic, conscientious citizen who wants to maintain a status-quo by holding on to traditions and material possessions. People from this social milieu attach a lot of importance to respect, harmony, sense of duty, justice, (financial) security and maintaining familiar customs and habits that have often been passed on by birth. Daily life follows orderly and established lines. Work is considered to be a duty and important, but should mainly be done as a means of supporting oneself. Spare time is usually spent in the family circle. Family life plays a very important part and the division of family roles is generally quite traditional.

The other profiles are less applicable to you and are shown below in decreasing order of appropriateness:
    • Upper conservatives
    • Modern mainstream
    • Social climbers
    • Kosmopolitans
    • Postmodern hedonists
    • Convenience oriented
    • Post materialists

Thank you for completing the Mentality Value Test. On the basis of your answers, we have now determined which value profile best matches your answers. Your profile shows most similarities with the The Cosmopolitan.

    The Cosmopolitan

An open and critical world citizen who combines post-modern values such as development and experience with modern values such as social status, materialism and enjoyment. The cosmopolitans' milieu is characterised by ambition (working hard and climbing the social ladder), the need for self-improvement and social involvement. Gaining new experiences and knowledge for personal enrichment are important motives. The cosmopolitans strongly believe in the realisation of personal and social ambitions. A cosmopolitan's lifestyle is active and multifaceted. They have a wide interest in art and culture. Work occupies a major place in this milieu, both with the objective of personal growth and with the objective of social recognition. Not only work, but also leisure activities are used for personal enrichment. People in this milieu have a comprehensive network of social contacts.

But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

    The Post-Materialist

An idealist who is critical of social structures, who wants to broaden his/her horizons, and who comes up against social injustice and for the environment. Solidarity and harmony are characteristics of the people in this milieu. They are critical of the current society. Aiming for a mutual solidarity, taking responsibilities and working on social improvements play a prominent part. Post-materialists attach a lot of importance to being able to live according to their own principles and have a strong social conscience. Living responsibly is important: no waste, profit seeking or damage to the environment. They prefer a job at institutions or organisations that contribute to social wellbeing. People in this milieu show interest in art and culture (film, museums, theatre, cabaret, classical music) as well as in more homey forms of recreation. Family life is usually solid (strong mutual involvement), but doesn't follow traditional patterns.

The other profiles are less applicable to you and are shown below in decreasing order of appropriateness:

    Anyhow, pretty accurate.

    Dear sir/madam,
Thank you for completing the Mentality Value Test. On the basis of your answers, we have now determined which value profile best matches your answers. Your profile shows most similarities with the The Social Climber.

    The Social Climber

A career-focused individualist with a distinct fascination with social status, new technologies, risk and suspense. Social success and climbing up the social ladder are important motives for the social climbers' behaviour. Their happiness is largely determined by their career ('my work is my life'). They also seem to attach a lot of importance to showing to others what they have achieved. Their general attitude is clearly materialistic; both earning (a lot of) money and consuming are important. Social climbers lead a very busy and hurried life and barely have time to take care of household chores such as food shopping and cooking. People in this milieu are generally status-sensitive and strongly performance-oriented. There doesn't seem to be much time for rest and recuperation. They consider family life to be the ideal lifestyle, but don't usually have any strong family involvement.

The other profiles are less applicable to you and are shown below in decreasing order of appropriateness:

    Convenience oriented
    Kosmopolitans
    Postmodern hedonists
    Upper conservatives

    Dear sir/madam,
Thank you for completing the Mentality Value Test. On the basis of your answers, we have now determined which value profile best matches your answers.

The other profiles are less applicable to you and are shown below in decreasing order of appropriateness:
    • Postmodern hedonists
    • Social climbers
    • Post materialists
    • Convenience oriented
    • Upper conservatives

Reading them I think i'm actually more post-materialist, because the hedonistic aspect doesn't fit well. I answered that I was fine with such lifestyles, but that doesn't mean I practice them.

I have seen these kind of graphics before and I've typed myself pretty much the same as in this test so I think it's pretty accurate. However, these are all more or less "flattering" accordng to the descriptions (which is understandable because you'd not like to read something bad about your lifestyle in an online test). I have seen different ones in which some of the "types" had a distinct negative connotation.

    For example this:

The red types are the "guiding" (or "exemplary") profiles. Also, the bottom grey one (consumption-focused workers) has a rather negative flavour in most descriptions.

I personally believe that the approach of the OP's site is better, since "experts" can't really judge what's the best lifestyle and what not. But as long as they don't condemn people I suppose it's okay.

Well, yes. You are actually right thinking this is a graphic tailored to Germany. In this one you can see a seperate bubble for "GDR-Nostalgics" (Sinus AB2) which is basically a group you'll only find in this country.

Family life plays a very important part and the division of family roles is generally quite traditional.

hah, "GDR nostalgics"... does that refer to people who still have an attachment to the old socialist ways before German reunification? maybe similar groups could exist within the other post-communist European states?

Yes, exactly. These people are not necessarily missing the socialist system itself (since not everyone even cares that much about politics), but their old lives. Some of them weren't involved in (or aware of) the crimes the GDR regime has committed. And the reunification changed a lot, and not only for the better. People have lost their jobs and some of the social services were cancelled. (Of course, these part of the enormous expenses which have ruined the state's economy.) But this term is still rather "unfair" because it doesn't distinguishes people who were actually political supporters of the state and others, who just miss their "old" life, their youth, ect. Maybe that's the reason why the group vanished in the latest graphics.

Not necessarily. Many of these models are sociological in nature, not psychological. Current sociological models in general try to refrain from value-judgements. So it's not so much that they are politically correct, they simply don't investigate those aspects that could lead to negative insights. That is the job of psychology.
