Default The Story from the primaries

It is looking increasingly likely that Ron Paul will come out of this election the heir apparent to the GOP mantle. It's a toss-up between him and Santorum.

Romney's defeat in November is practically foretold. When choosing a president, Americans always go for the genuine article... this was established in 2004 when they sided with Bush over Kerry. Romney is someone who is so internally conflicted that they cannot understand him... Americans will not vote for someone they cannot understand.

Being next in line doesn't necessarily mean that Paul will win the nomination in 2016. Bobby Jindal has a strong center-right record and a background similar to Obama's. In fact unless someone appears ready to take over for Obama soon, 2016 will be a Republican year.

Conservatives are negative people, they see the bad in people. Sadly for them, this means they see the bad in each of their own leaders. They cannot unify.

maybe it's because they're scared and not as intelligent *ahem*

According to studies relative hypertrophy of the portion of the brain that processes fear and identifies threats (the amygdala) is correlated with right political orientation/conservatism, whereas having a relatively larger part of the brain that processes conflicting and contradictory information is correlated with left political orientation/liberalism.
According to the ASA, IQ data from the "Add Health" survey averaged 106 for adolescents identifying as "very liberal", versus 95 for those calling themselves "very conservative". An unrelated study in 2009 found that among students applying to U.S. universities, conservatism correlated negatively with SAT, Vocabulary, and Analogy test scores though there was a greater correlation with economic differences.

nevermind, these political definitions are sketchy and constantly changing to begin with for me to make generalizations about them.

Which is worse, seeing the bad in others, or the bad in yourself?
