Default A List of People Whose Types We Know

So this is the thread where we list the types of people that we are as sure of as we can be via online communication.

    So far:

    Expat - ENTj
    Kim - ENFp
    Baby - INFp
    Vague - INFp
    Rocky - ISTp
    Herzy - ESTp
    MysticSonic - INTj
    FDG - ENTj
    Topaz - ENFp
    Diana - INFj
    Superman - ESTp
    Cone - INTp
    Traveler - ENFp
    Nicky - ENFp

Any others? And Joy, if you say yourself, I might have to fly to Wisconsin and stab you with a steak knife.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

    Fabio (FDG): ENTj
    Topaz: ENFp
    Diana: INFj
    Pedro: INTj
    Superman: ESTp
    tcaud: INTj
    UDP: INTj
    Cone: INTp
    Sycophant: INTp
    Olga: ISFj
    Traveler: ENFp

These people seem pretty obvious to me. Please point out if I made any mistakes! Oh, and don't be pissed if I didn't mention you.
I've added the one's I'm comfortable with. I question the following: Pedro, UDP, Sycophant. Pedro's a wildcard, but quite possibly INTj. IMO, Sara and UDP show far too much of what I believe to be Fe to be their respective claimed types, and I refuse to accept that we are absolutely sure of their types.

I am quite confident that I'm an ENFp. And if you don't believe me, Expat is sure of it too.

If one actually looks at the thread starters of Pedro, MysticSonic, UDP, Hugo, Dio, and MsK, (I feel like I'm missing one) it's fairly easy to notice that they follow very similar formulas, irregardless of content.

One can also notice that when they do start threads about emotional content, it's with the same sense of "i don't get it, i want to get it, someone help me get this". (Get this as in.."i want to understand this" get.)

As for Sychophant, all I can do is point out that when observing Ti's in an emotional state, they are either bitching about the lack of Fe in their environment, or the desire for Fe in their environment.

Also, one should take into account aspects of personal history/experiences that may affect "typing".

    Thank you for the confidence

Actually in your case and that of your family and acquaintances, everything fits so well in terms of descriptions and relationships, that if you were not ENFp, everything would fall apart.

    Hey - don't forget me!

Expat's pretty sure that I'm ISTJ, as well as, well, everybody else on the forum. And I trust Expat and this forum's typing skills.

I'm totally calling that I said, oh, say, two weeks ago that you would change your type within the month, back when you were CONFIDENT that you were ENTj. So no, you don't belong on this list. Once you stay one type for two months, you can join the list.

So maybe you should make this title, "TYPES PEOPLE ARE BECAUSE GILLIGAN SAYS SO"
No, I just refuse to put people on here whose stated types I disagree with because there is doubt, regardless of whose doubt it is, about their types.

Others have expressed significant doubts about you Kelly, namely Transigent, whose judgment I value, so for now you're not a candidate.

It is a great idea to create a list which I could print out and put in the wall, because my memory is bad. But I do not see this list as overly fair and democratic. I would suggest all people who are on the forum to put forward their types so that they would feel a part of internet community.

We have to admit that the risk of mistyping is always there - this should not stop us to accept people's types. If the the person does not know the type - we could put him on the waiting list and consider his type all together until the person is comfortable with suggestion or untill he/she sure. If the person suggest the type but the others are doubt I would still allow the person's tipe but put a sigh like * or make it in italic style so that we know that this type is suggested by the person but needs furhter consideration. Those members who would like their type to be considered by the board and ready to stand for their type - we could also consider toghether: once a week for example, and the revison is possible after a certain period of time. Types can be rivised and changed on the list when everyone is more or less happy.

But we really need to respect the individual's opinion of his/her type even if we perceive it as not true. At the end of the day we could do the vote later if the person agrees with a certain number of votes the type to be accepted. Shall we choose a chair of the board? - somebody who will have good organisational skills and regular attendance and not necessarily the best insight into typology. At the end of the day the number of votes will decide the type. What are your suggestions?

Thank you Olga I very much agree

I think your ideas are good and my first thought for chair of the board was Expat, but they seem to have a very good insight into typology.

I'd be willing to participate (though not as chair of the board

To all you people are pissing yourselves about not being on Gilligan's list, there's nothing flattering about being reduced to a walking stereotype. In fact, consider it an honor that you've managed to unintentionally project to people (or, in this case, a person) a more variable image of yourself.

This isn't a fucking popularity contest. It's a list of people who are accepted as being one type by all forum members so that we can use their interactions as objective base points for typing others. In a sense, these people are the meter sticks by which we should measure others who seem to be the same type. This is all that I propose. You can't vote on someone's type.

As little sense as that made I will hand you props for the irony regarding "being reduced to a stereotype" whether it was intentional or not.

I actually think the people Gilligan lists are his actual, major, reference points from which he types other people.

Can I be taken off the list then, please? That's too much responsibility for me to handle.
