My Crazy Idea - Socionics Camp

I was driving in the car the other day and i had this crazy idea. Now of course i will never actually implement it (im ENFP for heavens sake) but it set my mind aflutter with possiblities.

My idea is some type of Mass Gathering of the personality types at some Camp site or something like that. I was thinking you would have to limit it for balance purposes, so hold the camp once you have 30 of each type interested, or maybe less as that would be 480 people . The possiblilities are then endless what you could actually do at the camp.

-You could use it as a social experiment, for instance group all the ENFP together and watch them have crazy fun for 30 mins, then start to get bored and watch their brains melt when they are all viying for each others attention.
-Group ENTJ together and watch them play sport or compete or debate or something funny
-Put some thinkers, i dunno INTP or something and have them work out problems or something like that
-put the ESFP's in a group and booze them all up. Watch them get with each other then gaze over and notice the INTP and wonder longingly... hmm

Would be amazing. Imagine meeting heaps of your activity partners or Duals all in one go. Could be a total orgy

You could mix groups up and have group discussions and have people wear badges to show what types you were.

I was also thinking imagine if massive brawls erupted between the conflicing or the supervisor relations. Might need Armed Guards to keep things from exploding. Could turn into something like gangs of new york, i would probablly pretend to be an ISTP or a ESTP or ENTJ to make sure i survived.

Hmm a strange idea i know but i can vividly visualise it in my head. If anyone ever does anything like this i really really want to go.. Put me in a room with 20 chicks all from my quadra mmmmmm

I suppose in some ways if the society was created properly it could theoretically function really well, with everyone contributing to what they do best.

Reminds me of Gattaca or Aeon Flux.. If the society became too restrictive i have no doubt i would round up a Horde of ISTP and ENFP and arm them with Monotov Cocktails and start a rebellion

It would be interesting to say, spend a day with a male and female of each type, each day, for 16 days going through all of the types. It would be a wonderful experience.

If a gathering like this has not been done in some form or another, I wonder why, as surely it would be very uselful to verify and extend ideas in socionics, im thinking it must have though otherwise the health rings etc wouldnt have been discovered (unless they are just theoretical predictions).

I think it would be cool to work with each of the 16 types for a week. Like suppose you were assigned to do some special task that involved many differnt skills and for a week or so you had to work closely with a member of each type. Maybe even several members of that type For example week one you are working with your two or even three identicals, the next week with your mirrors etc.... then you would get a very good idea of how you interact with each type in a more or less intimate sitiuation where you have to coordinate your actions, communicate and produce something. I think the results would be interesting and probably surprising. You would no doubt find out things about yourself you did not know, certainly about others. Durning the whole process you would have to report in and give a run-down of whats going on like those crazy reality programs. THATS IT, the next reality show! They dont seem to be going away. If you cant beat em... Join em. Only you dont know what types you are interacting with. You just have to deal with them face to face and in the end you get to evaluate your time spent together. I dont know if it would include voting people out of the office, tool crib or where ever it is youre working. The winner gets uh.... to ... go on a trip somewhere nice? .... Somebody fill that part in.
Now what to call it.....? BIG SOCIONIC BROTHER... no WHO WANTS TO MARRY A DUAL.....no... GUESS MY TYPE? .... no , no no.....NAME THAT QUADRA!.... ok Im going to need some help here. OOOh look a puppy! *slinks away when everyone looks*

knowledge of socionics would cause everyone in the situation to be excessively neurotic. They would endlessly compare themselves to others in their group, and not a single part of their true personality would come through. :[ Seriously, how many social interactions has socionics ruined for you? I sometimes guess a person's personality type and try to accomadate them based on my knowledge, or use it as a way to condemn or forgive their behavior. actually, you don't really need socionics to do this. Actually, you don't even really need socionics, at all.

Yeah, for something like that to work the people would have to be selected by type without them knowing, and not told that it was a socionics experiment.

I have thought before that knowledge of intertype relations effect your interactions with others if they are at the front of your mind, it may not necessarily ruin them, but certainly changes them. I try to forget about socionics during my normal everyday life as I dont want this to happen.

Meatburger, I like your idea and don't think for a second that your idea is impractical. Remember, the primary notion may appear ludicrous, however you can refine it to practicality. Your definitely ENFp, I continously think of ideas like this all the time and I remembered you stating that you are excellent at one and one coversation, which resonates with me as well. I'm very silent and reserved in group conversations.

The key is to refine the idea to be realistic. Meet ups from the internet sounds like a ridiculous notion, but they tend to occur very frequently. So basically you can transform it to be a personality meetup. It would probably only work if it is formed through the internet. Therefore, you can create a meet up in your city, in order to do that you would have to create an australian (your city) personality forum. I've seen a lot of those type of forums and then once you gather a hundred users. The main premise of your forum is for everyone to meet up in a designated building and it can also be designed as a dating site in a way if you think about it. Okay, now I'm sounding a bit far-fetched, but I'm sure this idea can be created if you figure out a way to make it practical.
