Default Breaking Bad Finale Discussion(Spoilers from previous episode, if you haven't seen it don't read)

I think that Walt poisoned Brock with something other than ricin. I think when he was spinning the gun and they landed on the plants. He realized there was another toxin he could use to mimic ricin that was less fatal and faster acting.

The reason that Gus didn't get into the car was he realized what Walt had just done, and he knew that he had turned Jesse.

The cigarette was stolen from him when he went to see Saul.

The only problem with this theory is how he administered the toxin.

It's kind of up in the air the cause of Brock's illness. It's consistent with ricin, but Walt's story, while persuasive from the effects the action had unleashed, is pretty incomprehensible from the Gus-doing-it perspective. Walt is paranoid enough that I believe he is convinced of his own explanation. Gus, upon hearing Jesse out, realized either 1) his plan at manipulation had failed and Walt had likely turned Jesse or that (2 Walt had simply convinced him of Gus's involvement. Either scenario would invite Jesse's cooperation to taking Gus out. Answer: sympathy and understanding, false or not. Further why would Jesse demand to meet with Gus as a condition of leaving the hospital if he seemed to think him guilty of poisoning? A trap.

I still think it's possible that Jesse screwed up and Brock got a hold of the cigarette on his own. There doesn't seem to be much incentive to poison the kid unless you're right and Walt found a less serious alternative. Barium poisoning? Not sure how fatal that can be, can't be as bad ricin though.
