Only according to youtube post-processing time. I dumped it on Vimeo to see if it would come out correctly there but now it's sitting in a queue.

The small number of responses in this thread suggests that visual identification is ineffective when the subject doesn't verbalize self disclosures. Thus VI shall henceforth be dubbed Talking-About-Myself Identification, or TAMI.

I still think you're XLI. It's all very fascinating how this hasn't changed. I feel that even XLIs can shave themselves in dim lighting. If I had a beard I think I might be inclined to shave it. I might fear baldness because the sun would burn me to death. I feel bald heads make one naked to the sun... they invite the rays to bore into one's mind.

I'm curious where you're getting the possibility of Ne-Si valuing since I tend to detest those IEs and have a history of touchy or poor relations with IEEs and LSEs, not to mention alphas in general.

Note the non-clipping hand making tactile inspection of the hair and scalp. That's the mark of a no-look buzz.

If I had a beard I think I might be inclined to shave it.
Since I'm a Norse American who grew up on a Norwegian granny's lefse and lutefisk feel free to regard my beard as a sign of k0rpsey the Viking.

I might fear baldness because the sun would burn me to death.
I tan nicely and don't often burn. A cropped head is easy to clean and maintain and doesn't provide assailants with an easily exploitable handhold like a full mop can.

Seriously, I think you widely misinterpreted my post. For one, I didn't think that people can get much from you posting a video of yourself grooming (in dim lighting)... and so I suspected that the thread wasn't very serious and responded to it in kind (beyond this you never struck me as waffling on your type but as seeming at least fairly sure of your self-typing). For two, comments like "well, I don't get along with such and such type and that other such and such type, and so how can I be such and such type" arguments will mean absolutely nothing to someone who doesn't know you and the supposed such-and-such'es in your life that you're referring to (these arguments can't really be responded to--I mean what would I say? "Oh, well, in that case... obviously you're ILI... that was the missing piece of info I needed to solidify this in my mind!"). So I didn't care about your response because I don't want to get in a pointless type debate over such crap that I have no knowledge of anyway (I don't want to fight with you over your type especially when I barely said anything about it to begin with). I said that I could see Te and that's why I said XLI, not because I think SLI is a perfect option, but because I don't know very much about you (and so tentatively, I noticed Te, and that was it). Perhaps I should have refrained from commenting at all. This is seriously why I don't comment about people's types usually because so many "type me" threads are just "tell me I'm the type I think I am (or the one I want to be) or I'll get really offended and bitchy" threads. I had assumed (stupidly) that this wasn't one of them. You can rest assured that I'll make no further remarks regarding your type (which I now do not care about in the most absolute sense) in the future. Beyond this, if you interpreted it this way, I was not making fun of your beard, or of you in any way.

    Let's find out.

My assumption is that the behavioral fruits of my prominently active IEs should be displayed through my actions. The video is meant for purposes of visual identification, not speech analysis identification.

For two, comments like "well, I don't get along with such and such type and that other such and such type, and so how can I be such and such type" arguments will mean absolutely nothing to someone who doesn't know you and the supposed such-and-such'es in your life that you're referring to
But but but but but but but socionics is the study of inter-relations! Surely there must be some value in the patterns I've described in my interactions, unless of course that information went unread.

(these arguments can't really be responded to--I mean what would I say? "Oh, well, in that case... obviously you're ILI... that was the missing piece of info I needed to solidify this in my mind!").
You could say that but I'd find that line of reasoning odd and the tone of the response sarcastic.

So I didn't care about your response because I don't want to get in a pointless type debate over such crap that I have no knowledge of anyway (I don't want to fight with you over your type especially when I barely said anything about it to begin with). I've been collecting types since taking up socionics, so far garnering SLI, SEE, LSI, IEI, ILI, IEE, SLE, ILE, and maybe a few others.

Perhaps I should have refrained from commenting at all. This is seriously why I don't comment about people's types usually because so many "type me" threads are just "tell me I'm the type I think I am (or the one I want to be) or I'll get really offended and bitchy" threads. Hmm, I thought I was having a bit of fun by poking fun at myself here and giving others the opportunity to do the same. Is the fact that you seem offended while I'm quite amused related to type and intertype? Nice new signature, btw.

Hmm, I'm not sure how I could translate what I've seen into an IE expression... but you look rather serious doing it. But you don't seem to question your type in any way and I also don't see anything that contradicts ILI. On a related note, I have not much VI experience.

One says "That's life" in French and the other mentions thunder and lightning in German. Also on my person are the i-ching trigram Qián, and in Latin, "Irreplaceable time flies." The next additions will be the Hanged Man and Tower cards from the Waite-Rider tarot deck and images of Kali and Zurvan.

I have a pendant with the rune "Feoh/Fehu" on it which means "cow" and suggests spiritual and material wealth. At least that's what I've been told.

This video is bad for image typing anyway - to few nonverbal reactions, and video image is in low quality (low light, low resolution). Inteview, even without sound, is much better than this shit.
Talking-About-Myself seems like optimal, but is not neccesary - the man may tell about anything to give meaningful nonverbal information. Sometimes even talking is not needed, but the more info - the better.

I think, we should take all this for typing: 1) test (for preferences at least), 2) a form (with questions for 8 functions and 4 preferences, where a man may write a paragraph for each question), 3) video with a tale about something (themes: what I like/dislike; whate I do better than others/others do better than me; something other).

Anyway I doubt most here will identify types correctly having all this information. Low match is a scourge in typology so a typed person will be tangled anyway.

btw the Hanged Man is my preferred significator. I think it's a very good card for the Dialectical-Algorithmic thought processes.

It was a good effort, though(for video) there's also the possibility that a person's thought-verbalization process and general mannerisms when in the presence of an expected future audience could be telling of their type; the two things this video failed to test for.

Nice! I've thought about getting a tarot related tat too, though I'd probably do something involving The Fool, Moon, or Sun cards.

Post a video of yourself to benefit the socionics community with your superior VI presentation method.

I think the video is bad for the purposes of "visual identification." I can't really see much other than some guy shaving in dim lighting, as I said before. I really thought it was non-serious because of that.

But but but but but but but socionics is the study of inter-relations! Surely there must be some value in the patterns I've described in my interactions, unless of course that information went unread.
I did actually read that thread when it first emerged and I've now read your posts again. I didn't really draw any conclusions from it. Although I think there are patterns to be sure about such things, I also think it's easy to see patterns everywhere and associate them with opposing IM preferences, and well, I just don't have much faith in this anymore (for one it's possible to have hideous relations with people in the same quadra with patterns of behavior that can be interpreted as revealing "IM differences"). I don't know for sure that I would see your ex-gf as an IEE if I knew her. I see a general dispute between logic and ethics. I don't understand why other types like SEE and ESE wouldn't possibly react similarly (although you said as much). I just don't (myself) draw any conclusions from those posts. I can't just read it and go "aha! he doesn't get along with IEEs! obviously SLI is out!" Anyway, I shouldn't really be commenting anyway because I don't have any helpful input regarding your type.

You could say that but I'd find that line of reasoning odd and the tone of the response sarcastic.
Well, my comment is sarcastic. Although I think I've failed to explain my point of view.

I've been collecting types since taking up socionics, so far garnering SLI, SEE, LSI, IEI, ILI, IEE, SLE, ILE, and maybe a few others.
    noted.

Hmm, I thought I was having a bit of fun by poking fun at myself here and giving others the opportunity to do the same. Is the fact that you seem offended while I'm quite amused related to type and intertype?
I'm not offended anymore. I thought you were deliberately being a jerk, but now I don't think this is the case. However, I can add you to my list as O/N (among the great many): http://www.the16types.info/vbulletin...&postcount=108
