    Default American History X

    Fucking awesome.

Derek - LSI, maybe Se subtype, 3w2 sx/so (this story is a good example of E3 integration to E6, btw)
    Danny - IEI-Ni 4w3 sx/sp
    Cameron - Beta Rational, maybe EIE-Ni, 8w9 sp/so
    Stacey - SLE-Ti 6w7 sx/so
    Seth - IEI-Fe maybe? probably E6 so/sx
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

    Great, great movie!

I remember watching it in my high school english class back in the day and it just gave me the chillz.

    Btw, why LSI for Derek?

    Seth might be ESI.

I agree with most of the other typings.

    oooh.

i like all those typings...seth, idk. he reminds me of a couple people i've typed SLE but only in a really superficial way and i haven't seen the movie in awhile.

and cameron i immediately thought EIE...LSI made some sense to me when i saw you put beta rational but i like EIE-Ni.

now i need to watch it again so i have more than just vague snips of memory in my head.

    dr. sweeney - no idea.

    the mom and sister, Fi?

Sweeney is a Te/Fi rational, maybe LSE. Probably 8w9 so/sp.

Wow, I pretty much agree with you, Gilly. I don't remember that happening before.

I kinda leaned towards ESTp for Derek, in no small part because that's what I type Edward Norton as, but ISTj is certainly reasonable. Also, I felt he was more of a 6 than a 3, in that he seemed far more concerned about representing an ideal, and felt that without those ideals he would be empty, but he ended up learning to let go and let live in a display of integration to 9.

Why do you say 3->6 in particular?

Well he's pretty much Cameron's superstar. I mean, I don't see how it's not a classic case of a 3 (esp. with the compliant 2 wing, ie more likely to accept a group mentor [compliance] rather than a personal one [withdrawn]) finding someone who not only gives direction to his "powers," but also gives him status, power, prestige, etc, and even sings his praises in classic Fe fashion, while maintaining an attitude of implicit superiority by remaining "behind the scenes," a classic Beta sp 8 tactic. Norton integrates to sx-6 when he is forced to accept that (1) his reputation does not offer protection in and of itself or by way of gaining him connections, (2) his self-image was based on beliefs with faulty premises, (3) his so-called "friends" were really just followers of his image and success and not "him," and (4) when he is able to return as the "doubter" of his former, dangerous beliefs, who loved ones can rely on, who will no longer expose them to danger simply in order to "succeed."

We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
