Yes, really. Now I know many of you think ESE fits fine. But Beta ST fit well too. And I'm tough to type because of personality masking, I think I can come across as several different types. Some people are still typing me SEE or LSE! Every quadra... Anyway. Before I make my argument, here are some more LSI-looking photos of me, when I'm focused/concentrating, or at rest. Not directly interacting with others per say. More my default expression.

And I know, it's annoying to be somewhat unsure again, when I thought I had it figured out. But don't some of these basic descriptions fit?:

ISTjs often have a very firm, solid figure, especially males. They keep their feet rooted to the ground giving the impression that they are sturdy and secure. Their heads are firmly fixed squarely to their shoulders and are practically immovable. Their necks appear to be inflexible so when they turn their head their shoulders usually follow. Their facial expressions are somewhat unemotional and show great concentration.

I believe the physical description fits me.

I don't wear a mustache because 1) I don't grow much facial hair and 2) blonde mustaches don't look great anyway.

ISTjs walk with their hands down by their sides. Their arms hardly seem to move at all and it can appear that their elbows have no joints. Their gait is usually even and rhythmical however from time to time ISTjs can turn sharply and unexpectedly, changing their course without warning.

Also fits, and I change direction very quickly.

Many ISTjs find it quite easy to interact with strangers and considering that they are introverts can feel quite close to someone even after a relatively short amount of contact. They often have a large compendium of jokes and anecdotes. Males often use this arsenal to charm females, usually behaving very gallantly, successfully playing role of the gentleman. They are often the life and soul of the party. They enjoy singing with little more than a guitar for accompaniment and often in a romantic style.

This is probably what comes across to others as Fe. When I'm in a good mood, and charming, it can come across ESE-ish.

ISTjs try always to be punctual and appreciate this quality in others very much. They pay great attention to facts, figures and technical information. They try to work everything out in depth and down to the last detail. ISTjs are very realistic people. They are not supporters of unproved ideas or theories and will hesitate in undertaking uncertain projects. They believe that everything should be prepared carefully and accurately.

I very much take my time getting things right, especially paperwork, and can be very meticulous. And I loathe when others are late, and I'm waiting for them.

As children ISTjs are very often obedient, docile, responsible and respectful. For this reason they are often used by adults as examples to other children. This will often lead them to take positions of responsibility while still at school.

This. I was always a model student.

ISTjs are always ready to share their knowledge with others and readily give people advice based on their own experiences.

Many others on this forum, 16types, have pointed out this tendency of mine. Here's just one example:

Mountain Dew He's a nice guy. Upstanding. He genuinely believes in helping people reach a better place in their lives. The kind of guy that offers up what life's taught him without regret. "Take what I've learned works and improve on it." Proactive future thinker oriented on goals. Cooperative. He tries to be gentle and understanding. "Hard work leads to results." Most of the things that are are for good reason. Honors tradition. A gentleman. A man accepting of the current epoch in which he is raised.

When in conversation, ISTjs often utilise common expressions and sayings and may sometimes be excessively instructive and edifying. This can be annoying to others.

IRL, happens a lot, my being too informative, or being overly helpful.

ISTjs are unconfident in relationships. They are aware of this inability and as a result are very suspicious of other people, especially ones that do not interact openly with them. This may often cause an excessive paranoia.

I've been called excessively paranoid MANY TIMES. IRL and on here. I do feel unconfident in relationships. I thought Fi made sense as an ignoring function, but as a Role function, it could fit too.

I could go on, but enough boring quoting. I do collect reference material, find it hard to throw away anything informational, and like to master my subjects of interest. Pretty much the whole description fits me.

Anyway. Rather than just post a "yes" or "no" about my being LSI, since people think I'm all kinds of things could you do me a favor and just post a % likelihood? Like: "I think there's an 80% chance MD is LSI." Or, "Nah, maybe only a 10% chance." Or something like that. Would be more helpful, thanks.

Everyone can see a bit of themselves in many type description - the Forer Efffect. It will happen more so with some descriptions than others, but be careful reading a type description and thinking it sounds like you.

A small group of people thought I was too friendly and Alpha-ish to be SLE, saying ESE instead. That group continued to grow, and I got tired of arguing against it, so I decided just to go with it, and see what people thought.

Haha not quite, European yes. 25% Irish and 25% Romanian from my father's side, and then a mix of German/English/Native American Indian from my mother's side.

Yeah, it still hasn't left me, I remember the switch. But it's been a while since and the SLE typing kind of just faded in the background like it never happened.
