Gossip? That's being nosy, not curious lol. Curious got us to space not to perezhilton.com.

    A mix between:
    Yes, if something seems interesting.
Only when the topic is something personal.
No, you don't need to tell me a thing.

Yes, I'm an explorer. I'm a curious cat. Though, I dislike gossiping because it's not a part of my value system and emotionally, it's annoying as hell.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Yes, if something seems interesting. If something piques my interest, why wouldn't I want to know about it? That said, I don't need to know absolutely everything - some things should probably be left unsaid, and some bits of gossip are completely inconsequential (why should I care what shoes Britney Spears was wearing?). With regard to gossip in particular, I only spread it or desire to hear it about people I personally dislike, mostly as a means of venting my disdain.

The point is, the questions are a little leading...(not that this is intended to be scientific or anything). But because of the "gossip" one and the "you don't need to tell me anything" one, that makes the reader see the question differently....that is, it gives the clue that what you're asking is "are you curious about other people?"

So then if someone has high curiosity, but not about other people's lives, such a person is less likely to be able to answer and will more likely skip the poll.

Hm. How would you have rephrased the questions? I didn't want to be too vague.

I would say intelligence-related. If you know what you don't know, and you know how to find out, you'll be very interested in doing so: this is curiosity.
