    Default Ego element types you'd want to be

    For each element, which type would you want to be?
    And then again, for each quadra, which would you want to be?

    For example, if you were to be a Ti type, which Ti type would you prefer to be?

    my answers:

    Ti = TiSe or SeTi
    Fe = SiFe

    Se = SeFi
    Ni = NiTe

    Fi = NeFi
    Te = SiTe or NiTe

    Ne = NeFi
    Si = SiTe or SiFe

    Alpha = SiFe
    Beta = TiSe or SeTi
    Gamma = NiTe or SeFi
    Delta = NeFi or SiTe

    and you?

    laghlagh, I didn't say it would be easy

    I keep seeing various threads like that opposite perceptions one, and I can't help but think, if I had to be/do that, which would I want it to be?

    I'm kinda curious if there's any patterns that show up.
    (Not that they would imply anything type-wise.)

    i got tripped up because i put in different answers. like for Fi i put EII and then for delta i put IEE. and then i'd think about how that didn't make sense and i should pick one and got frustrated. trying it again, forgetting trying to make sense lol -

    laghlagh...imo, the best patterns emerge AFTER the fact, rather than trying to force one to emerge

    particularly since for each there might be a different reason or thought behind the answer

    Ugh, k0rpsey's response pointed out that I forgot to change my title when my core question changed. and this...is one reason why I don't like starting threads, lol. Sorry for the confusion all.

    What do these signs mean—, , etc.? Why cannot socionists use symbols Ne, Ni etc. as in MBTI? Just because they have somewhat different meaning. Socionics and MBTI, each in its own way, have slightly modified the original Jung's description of his 8 psychological types. For this reason, (Ne) is not exactly the same as Ne in MBTI.

    Just one example: in MBTI, Se (extraverted sensing) is associated with life pleasures, excitement etc. By contrast, the socionic function (extraverted sensing) is first and foremost associated with control and expansion of personal space (which sometimes can manifest in excessive aagression, but often also manifests in a capability of managing lots of people and things).

    For this reason, we consider comparison between MBTI types and socionic types by functions to be rather useless than useful.

    All Ts. Why would you want an F type? I guess if you've got to be an F type, go with the intuitive kind.

    Lol SFs.

    What are you on? F types are awesome; they can play people like fiddles. Ethical Irrationals especially (and most especially SEEs and IEIs).

    I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE
