    Default My Attention Thread

I was bored, and wanted some attention so I just thought I would make a post to see what type or valued functions I seem to demonstrate to everyone. A few members have given me a definitive SLI typing, but I want the fact and figures. I have not posted much so we will probably have to start here.

You need to demonstrate something for people to determine what you demonstrate.

Tell us a story in the life of Erk perhaps.

I figured someone would ask some questions to get me started, but ok. Hmmm. Everyday is pretty much the same for me. People get mad because I do not talk much at work, but I am not much of a conversationalist. I prefer joking around to regular conversation, honestly regular conversation makes me real nervous for some reason.

I could ask you a bunch of questions if you want. I know there was a list of them I asked someone that got used in a few typing threads, but really I don't find any particular question useful in it simply being answered. They're only useful to get you to open up and get the ball rolling. Giving yes/no answers doesn't do much. That's just how I prefer to type anyway.

You're going to have to wait for those questions though because I'm going to sleep

They do not have to be yes or no questions either.

yo erk. from what i've seen of you in chat you seem quiet and straightforward and amiable and nothing contradicting SLI. but i haven't seen that much, so yeah.

waiting for azeroff's questions, i don't want to try to hunt them down on my phone. hm. you have three wishes: what do you wish for?

heh, I found them in your type thread laghlagh

Here they are. Remember to just write whatever you want even if it's not relevant to the question, and you don't have to answer all of them. Also, just try to be as honest with yourself as possible and try not to refer to socionics terms.

    Who are you?
    What are you interests?
What do you do for a living?
Are you in school? How do/did you like it?
    Future goals? Past experiences?
    What are your friends like?
What would you say the focal point of your life is?
    Beliefs? General thoughts about w/e?
How would you describe yourself compared to others?
    How would others describe you?

    1. Who are you?
This question is kind of vague, and I am not sure how to answer it.

    2. What are your interests?
I would not think that interests have much to do with types, but come to think about it I do not really have any personal interests. Seriously, besides reading about things that interest me I do not really give a shit for the most part.

    3. What do you do for a living?
I work retail, overnights in the backroom handling inventory. I enjoy the physical aspect of the job, and honestly if it was not for the people I would be perfectly happy, and promoted...

    4. Are you in school? How do/did you like it?
I used to be in school, but I had to leave for personal reasons. Honestly though, my interest in it started to drop off towards the end anyways. I think the only reason I would do something is if I thought people would hold me in high regard anymore.

    5. Future goals? Past experiences?
I do not really set goals. I have ideas of where I would like to be, but I take the situation on a day by day basis pretty much. Past experiences is another vague question.

    6. What are your friends like?
I do not have a broad range of friends to go by hear so I would have to base my answer on the one that I have, but we do get along pretty good, but not perfectly. I am not good at describing people anyways.

    7. What would you say the focal point of your life is?
I have never really given this thought, but I would say I live for the good times. This does not mean I cannot handle the bad.

    8. Beliefs? General thoughts about w/e?
Could say a lot or I could say nothing, for now it is too far past bed time to fill this one out.

    9. How would you describe yourself compared to others?
Quiet, realist, hard-worker, dutiful, sense of humor

    10. How would others describe you?
Quiet, stuck up, asshole, usually something negative, except when they appreciate my talents, which is rare. Lots of people get the idea that I do not like them which is usually not the case.

Exactly what would quoting those images do as far as typing goes?

    That's the point
    however you want.

I would've liked more expanded answers. As I said, questions are really only useful to get you started on talking about yourself, and the answers themselves aren't all that important. The idea is not for you say what you think is relevant to your type, but rather to get some of idea of who you are since, imo, you need to have a pretty good idea of who someone is and what they're like to be able to type them.

Anyway, if I had to type you based on your answers, I guess I could agree with SLI. But, it's a typing based on nothing really.

While what you say makes sense, I am not responding any different to you than I would to anyone else, except maybe someone I am really close too. Even so I tend towards curtness. Taking that information along with the rest of what I say should should establish somewhat of a pattern. Friendliness is not exactly my strong suite. I would say not to read too far in to anything I say, I tend to say exactly what I mean. If I intend something else I go out of the way to make my point.

yeah i think the fact that the answers were pretty sparse and straightforward says something in itself. what you said and the way you said it is consistent with SLI imo. not that this is 100% or anything.

It'd provide some insight into how your brain operates without introducing a bunch of potentially biased questions. Sort of like a Rorschach test but with photos instead of inkblots.

You see I understand this, but I am also aware that depending on my mood and/or my interest the captions will change, and not just content but style. My answers one day may contradict my answers on another.

this is true of anything anybody says or does all the time. you can choose to take what you want from other peoples' sifting for the meat of it.

i just wanted to say that, sort of talking to myself. no pressure to do the captions. how is your day going so far?

Yeah I honestly do not have a problem with any typing. Although it does make me wonder why no one brought up the notion of any other Te type.

hmm your way of writing seems more to flow with whatever is written to you and you don't really have a proactive EJish type of style. and you seem really grounded and talking about "real" stuff like Si>Ni.

    again not 100% etc etc
