Default IEIs, I finally understand you!

Always fighting to have people making the choices you believe appropriate. Always modulating emotions to try to "turn the tide".

somehow I have trouble picturing LSIs "modulating emotions", they are rather unemotional like LIIs

yes IEIs modulate Fe but so do other types with their creative functions, it comes out like these intense impulses, easy way to tell between mirror types if you' know what you're looking for

Jesus Christ tries Fe modulation on God:

but it doesn't work, apparently God is LSE

I remember years ago, I had a huge crush on an IEI. I remember she told me that she was aggravated that her boyfriend had not yet committed to her. Interpreting this from my point of view, that romantic feelings are what they are and cannot be modulated, I saw this as an opportunity for myself. What I did not realize -- could not understand and could not see to ask-- was that her confession reflected not frustration, but an actual ongoing effort. She still believed she could have him if she just twisted him the right way, found the right heart string to pluck. Ultimately my perspective proved the more accurate -- she didn't get him, although I never managed to get her, either (and she is forever out of reach now).

You will never understand Me. I am the Mystery of the moon. You cannot pluck my Mystery. Though if you could what excellent Tones you might play.
Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

    Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...

I am grateful for the mystery of the soul, because without it, there could be no contemplation, except of the mysteries of divinity, which are far more dangerous to get wrong.

pretty much... imo, generally speaking IEIs make better persuaders, advisers, visionaries, etc. than actual doers (that's SLEs job)

Funny. In the past, I've experienced the reverse (me aggravated that IEI won't commit).

I have a problem with long term commitments actually. It's because once I do I stick by my word to the bitter end even if i'm miserable so I think it's better not to commit in the first place.

Also I like flexibility in the present to shape the future as I imagine it.

Interesting. But inflexible. What's to say once you've committed you can't uncommit?

lol Great example of an oxymoron. I have a lot to say about your statement.

One way to view a commitment is it is your pledge or personal dedication to doing something.

If I commit to being faithful as an example and then uncommit that doesn't say much about my word does it. How will someone know to believe me in the future? My word becomes meaningless if I uncommit on what I have said I will do.

I'm either in or i'm out. Yes it could be argued that this is a black and white view and circumstances change. I was committed at the time but not now for insert excuse.

In my example above I should say I will stay faithful to you TODAY to keep me right and ensure that everyone is clear on the terms of our arrangement.

Or i will commit to meeting you at the weekend unless I get a better offer

Hopefully reading my response and the high standard I hold myself to shows why i have a problem making such a commitment lol

We just do the hard work so others can, too.

This is the main problem I run into – passively agreeing to something because there's nothing else, and it would take too much energy not to. It doesn't imply a commitment, just highlights that someone is forcibly trying to get something from me, and being led to believe they will.

Okay, fair game. I think this is an IEI-wide issue. Just remember that as an IEI, you will NEVER EVER be 100% sure. But you can be quite sure.

Hold out until you're quite sure (like 95-99% (cos you'll never be 100%)). That day will come, trust me.

You say this because you got back with him, right? Don't. He's a prick. There are better SLEs out there. I'm not the only honourable SLE. There was a guy called Sharrum a while back who was similarly honourable, except really overt about it. He tried to get with my girlfriend from Brazil. Fun times.

*From Brazil means he tried to get with her, based in the UK, from his computer in Brazil. But he seemed like a genuinely cool guy.

That's what I call pursuing someone.
