    Hi,
I have been on this website reading for a while, but just recently decided i would like to join this forum. Before anyone asks i do not know my socionics type. I have some guesses, but i will not state them. Reasons: I might be wrong which i would not like people to know publicly, and i want people to start typing me with a clean slate. I'm pretty shy, so i will not be posting any pictures or videos of me . I want my typing to be purely on the way i act.

    Hey,
    1981slater and Ryene Astraelis.
I'm not going to reply to typings until more people guess.
It will probably take some time to get to know me, since i am pretty observant of forum discussions. I will try to participate though, so i can learn more about socionics. I would rather be quiet though than let people know how ignorant i am of the subject.

    Hola,
laghlagh i love your picture. Watched Black Swan not too long ago and i loved it. I have always wanted to dance ballet, but my mom didn't have the money for lessons How do you put a picture up? I'm not really knowledgeable about computers. I just know enough to research (for fun and school) and do homework.

yeah black swan was great <3. ballet never really appealed to me because of the having to stand on your toes thing, haha. but it was the same with me and gymnastics when i was a kid.

for the picture: click on "user cp" at the top of the screen and then click on "edit avatar" on the left. you can pick one of the pictures available (some socionists + hitta) or enter the destination of a picture or click "browse" and pick one that you have saved somewhere on your computer.

You'll probably see me fiddling around with my avatar for a while. Did you ever get to take gymnastics or ballet lessons? I like ballet, but i would have never been a professional dancer. I prefer to have mental stimulation part of my career.

nope, every once in awhile the activity center would have these gymnastics things, but no real classes. i think i would have been good at it, but who knows. but then there's so much pressure on kids with stuff like that. i have a friend who participated in gymnastics competitions as a kid and ended up quitting after she got yelled at by her coach to keep going after she was injured. and then all the pressure to keep a certain weight. so what do you do, if you're willing to share?

i'm curious what brought you here. how did you end up interested in this stuff?

Yeah it's a salmon which is one of my favorite animals.
As you can see i just changed my avatar to the greek goddess Athena.

Right now I'm taking a break from college, since i became overwhelmed with it. I'll be going back in the spring though, so for now I'll be volunteering and working. I've always been interested in learning about myself, so i started with mbti and found socionics from there. I found socionics to be more interesting, so here i am.

I have been reading about socionics for almost a year and i still don't get it. That's why i decided to just join the website. I've been lurking around for a while now. Hopefully i'll figure out my type now that i have independent people to type me.

Labcoat and 1981slater how did you guys get these typings?
I would love to know your reasoning, since i am a newbie at socionics.

Labcoat and 1981slater how did you guys get these typings?
just a guess based on a few shallow impressions:
    - use of emoticons in a way that ISFps tend to
    - you say you are "shy", which i think is most commonly how IP types perceive themselves when in low self-esteem (IJ types are mainly less likely to admit it; for E types its also possible but not an argument in favor of the typing)
    - you focus on describing a number of concrete events in your life and mention your "favorites" and likings a lot (trademark ISFp stuff)
    - general focus on simple language, no shenanigans; very down-to-earth in a way that seems like Base-Si
    - "I would rather be quiet though than let people know how ignorant i am of the subject."; humility towards forming concrete technical judgment; looks like F > T
    - generally de-mobilized attitude, not harsh or combative (Si/Ne values)

none of this is conclusive, but the combination of all these factors makes ISFp look plausible.

my second guess would be INFj. (also introvert, reasonable (Si/Ne values), ethical)

but like i said, these are just guesses based on the scant information available at this point.

    Thanks for answering back.
So you're in favor of a free market enterprise?
I don't know anything about economics, so i won't debate you on it.

i am generally in favor of a free market on everything, including services generally reserved for government on the premise that the market's superiority in providing everything else leaves little basis for enforcing a monopoly on law and order as well as infrastructure, and because I am in opposition to market interventionism in general. i consider myself an autarchist in the tradition of Robert LeFevre, however, as opposed to an anarchist.

Going by your beliefs you really must not like what President Obama is doing here in America. I'm not sure what i believe in from an economic stand point, so i don't know if i agree or diagree with you. Economics is not something i like to study.

I'm more into human relations and culture around the world. I wish i was more of an intellectual. Even though i did well in school i could never debate people. I guess you can say ethics is more of an interest even though i have always loved biology. Human biology in particular.

i despise what every president has done ever. in fact, the office shouldn't even exist.

    Yeah it is!
It's the subject in school i loved to learn. Especially in high school. Art and Biology were the subjects that dueled for my favorite subject. When i get back to college i think i might major in Biology and get into Biological research.

I might not be the stereotypical "geek", but i still want to be in academia. Being around people who love to learn and are not superficial is my dream occupation. I just hope i can get through the grueling process of tenure at a top university. Anyway I'm going to bed. I'll be back tomorrow and starting a typing thread. Buenas Noches Amigas!

    Hi everybody
Just to let you guys know the way i act on this forum is more expressive than i am in real life. Usually people have to get to know me better to see this side of me. When people first meet me i am more quiet and serious, because of my home schooled upbringing. I am becoming more outgoing though.
