TBH the person he reminds me the most of is my dad, who I think is SLI.

My first impressions, without reading anyone else's posts:

The thing that immediately jumps out at me is Intuition. His gaze is soft and not really focused on his immediate surroundings, and his body language seems somewhat awkward, not as comfortable in his own skin as Sensing types usually are. The Intuitive vibe is so strong I'm tempted to say he's xNxp.

His smiles don't show teeth in any of the photos, and look a little forced in all but the third photo, suggesting he's not really comfortable expressing genuine emotion (weak Ethics). However, he does make the attempt to smile and show emotion, suggesting to me that he may be Fe-valuing.

    Base Intuition + Weak Ethics + Fe-valuing = ILE.

He also looks like an ILE friend of mine, especially in the third photo.

IEI would be my second guess. It would just mean I had misjudged his strength in Ethics.

SLI is a guess. He looks unbelievably like someone I know or know of but I can't place who.
Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

Interesting. I only have a slight impression of him. He said something once about how he likes things to be orderly. He talked about how his son drives him crazy because the son is so laid back. (prolly Ip type) Could be a generational thing. Likes his toys: motorized (RV, convertible, used to ride motorcycles) as well as electronic (tvs, phones, ipads, etc). Claims his top two values are freedom and loyalty.

    LSE is my guess.

SLI. General impression from both descriptions and VI.

What is he like when he's not having his picture taken? Does he relax quite a bit more when he's allowed to "be himself"?

He looks remarkably like one of my upstairs neighbors...Is he quiet? Or more loud and gregarious? (just wondering, because my neighbor is definitely the latter)

Liking things to be orderly is not the same as being Te-Base, who are more likely to just make things orderly without so much talk. He's probably some Te-seeking, though-- either Te-Creative or Te-DS.

He talked about how his son drives him crazy because the son is so laid back.

Could be that he wished his son would pick up the slack so that he wouldn't have to. I don't necessarily see this as evidence against his being Ip type himself.

Not in the sense that they will name them as their top two values, no. And if I, let's say, met a potential romantic partner and he said he valued freedom and loyalty above all, that wouldn't resonate with me very strongly. Nothing wrong with those things, but they don't spring to my mind in particular and I'm not sure I'd know what he was implying for day-to-day life by naming those things. (Is this his way of saying he is free to do whatever he wants while I remain loyal? Will he be loyal in intention but not in action? That sort of thing ... which is to say I don't really get it.)

My most important life values, for example, would more likely be the search for beauty, and the expression of human intelligence.

In terms of relationships, extreme honesty and clear communication.

    What are yours?

Well, mine are closer to "freedom and loyalty" than to "search for beauty and expression of human intelligence." Maybe if we combined the two, we could get something like "freedom to express intelligence, and the search for loyalty." Haha.

Joking aside. My most important life values boil down to freedom to think and act for oneself (but not necessarily freedom to choose the consequences); and being responsible for those things with which I have been entrusted in this life (my body, my children, material possessions, etc.).

Though I agree with you about relationships. Honesty and good comminucation certainly are of utmost importance.

@ pianosinger, I think he's more loud and gregarious which I think would indicate LSE>LSI. Anyway, I think we have a winner with delta ST.

Technically loyalty is Fe and freedom is Ji in ego. Could be ExTP.

that's weird and contradictory. How can you be loyal and free at the same time? Being loyal naturally means you aren't as free, ie being loyal to somebody in a relationship means you aren't free to just fuck around with whoever. Being loyal to a company means you don't have the freedom to search around forever for another job.

haha this gives me a good idea for an article though.

For those confused: I've noticed a pattern that types that use Fe tended to mention loyalty as their highly valued characteristic while types that use Fi would mention personal integrity. IJs and EPs who had Ji in their ego value a greater degree of freedom in their environment over IPs and EJs who have role-seeking functions in their ego. I'm too lazy to type it all out so I put it into one brief sentence. It is one of those probability, frequency, trend kinds of things, don't take it so literally.

Sorry, but pretty sure that's BS. Loyalty also sounds like . Freedom sounds like or , depending on the context.

yeah I dunno about the loyalty and freedom stuff. Plus there might be different reasons he mentioned those words. For example, I happen to know that his wife cheated on him. Therefore that could be why he mentioned valuing loyalty. And, his kids are now grown so he's probably relishing his freedom. *shrug*

Yeah, in a guy who'd been married, him saying "I want loyalty" would make me wonder if he'd been cheated on. And as for "freedom," I might or might not have an immediate suspicion re. what it meant, but as in my example earlier, if it were a guy advertising himself for a possible relationship, while stating that one of his top two values is "freedom," I'd be all like EH. Baggage of some kind.
