Come to think of it, this would probably be more at home in the Delta forum. So here it is.

I'm glad he said the only purpose for building it was to attract Youtube views, since I was all "holy sh!t why flying machete!?"for the first three minutes

Another video, this time a Gatling Slingshot Crossbow.

He really does seem like an SLI to me. Calm, laid-back, good with his hands, oriented toward building and crafting things, stays low-key and low energy and chill. Possibly C-SLI?

My brother is an SLI, I just cannot see him doing this. Maybe if an IEE came up with the idea, then the SLI could provide the technical skill to follow through, but come on, this is not what Fe PoLR people would do. Would this not provoke as sense of fun and "cool dude" Fe reactions that would make the SLI feel uncomfortable?

With an IEE ok, but alone, no way.

This is a ludicrous suggestion, an SLI thinking of a unique idea on their own and turning it into something practical for fun sounds very feasible to me.

I think it might be more of a subtype issue. The C subtype could do this, but not the N subtype. I type Jessica 129 as the N subtype, same as my brother, she is NOT into this machette thrower!

Maybe and that's assuming if DCNH even exists.

    another relentlessly SLI dude

The robotic snake in the second video is a recreation of Titanoboa, an actual snake that lived during the paleocene epoc 60-65 million years ago.

You know what I want to see? A SLI that isn't into redneck machine building things who talks of pretty sunsets and cute animals and fashion and traveling and artwork and cheeseburgers.

Any female SLI should fit that.

I guess the only SLI's I'm ever compared to are other men so I didn't know if I was being too feminine or what. GOOD TO KNOW THIS IS NORMAL SLI FEMALE BEHAVIOR.

I seriously doubt those guys are SLI. IEEs are usually very skilled and if male, are likely to be interested in technical stuff. They are perfectly capable of building such things by themselves; really it's not like only SLIs can build stuff. And the eccentric vibe I get from that confirms it's likely a Ne base than Si base.

From the SLIs I know IRL, they are usually very business oriented and practical. They would not consider losing time with such projects, specially males since they are usually providers and have responsibilities.

In any case, there is no need to worry jessica129. You don't feel alone for being an SLI; you feel alone and period. Are you doing something to fix it? You know Socionics, I don't think it would be that hard for you to find the right people.

Putting yourself where you can be seen should do wonders. If anything, the problem I see finding a dual (SLI girl) is mostly that they are nowhere to be found.

I have an SLI friend who loves needlework and cooking and antique furniture. She deeply loves her kids and pets and has taken in plenty of strays because she is so tenderhearted. But you would never know what a softy she is because she has kind of a serious face and is a little *blunt* at times. She is one of the funniest people I know. I always listen when she speaks, because she only says what is important.

She met her husband on the day she was moving out of her apartment complex, and he was moving in. They crossed paths in the parking lot. They have been married for about 30 years.

One of her best friends is an EII. They have a little group that meets once a month at the SLI's house to sew and talk and look at magazines (not everyone who comes likes to sew, but they like the magazines.) The EII is very earnest about making sure the SLI gets out of the house. She organizes little field trips and coaxes the SLI, who comes and has fun. The SLI helps the EII with recipes and sewing. They are a funny pair, because the EII is so proper and the SLI is so blunt.
