ESE and LII?
I think they can be insecure about it though.

Yes, but I have a home gym setup. Not into flexing my muscles in public or dealing with people's sweat.

Not really... I probably wouldn't have the motivation to pull it through a longer time.

I got a gym membership once to run, but after a month I realized I could run on the pavement for free... and there were no weird people or dress codes.
I tried doing upper-body workouts in my 2nd year of college. I had to stop though, because the shower rods in my new apartment couldn't support my body weight. Nowadays I just do a lot of walking, I have no need to work out at this point.
My Si-ESFj dad put my Ti-ENTp brother on a workout regime because my dad likes to control people and my brother does whatever dad tells him to do. Brother also weighs like 130 pounds and is barely shorter than me.
Nope. I used to run cross-country. Then I got lazy. Now I play drums. If you consider that workout. I do.
My ENTp brother plays drums and used to lift weights and run for miles a lot. I went to the gym a couple times, because my dad made my family YMCA members and all I used to do there was swim and buy their candy and wanted to try something new. But no I really don't exercise at all, it's sounds like such a boring thing to go through, and I'm underweight. Sometimes I like to go for walks in the park.
My ENTj friend likes to work out and play video games at the same time, and its working really well for him. If I ever did, I would do this.
I work out at home, mostly during the autumn-winter. I voted yes. Can't see any type-relation, though.
If you're busy during the day, you'll be forced to run in the dark during the winter...I don't really love that.I got a gym membership once to run, but after a month I realized I could run on the pavement for free... and there were no weird people or dress codes.

I just paid to workout again for one month. I want to get stronger and loose some weight. I'm planning to take some steroids. Nandrolone here we go!
I used to, until I had an accident on the shoulder press where I took the wieghts off one side of the bar all the while having forgotten to put the pins back in(you know, the pins that keep the bar from flipping over) and the bar flipped over ten feet across the gym and weights scattered on the ground. A woman was working out there 20 mins before. I couldve killed someone.

I did when I was single but it was largely to have an excuse to get out around other people, not just to exercise. I'd kind of like to again so I can put the baby in the gym daycare and hang out around other grown ups.

I went to the gym when I was in school. It was included in my tuition so I didn't have to pay, I could walk to it, and I had a few different partners I could go with. Now that I have to pay, drive, and go by myself I don't really go lol. I sometimes do some home work out stuff.

I go to the gym to lift weights every weekday, and usually do cardio on Saturdays. When I don't go it's either because I'm sick or I'm very tired from staying late at work.
I feel... gross when I don't go. The most I could skip would be 2 days. I'm lazy but I still force myself to go. Doesn't have anything to do with type...more like how much you care about how you look.

It's easy to fall into the trap of going home and doing nothing but once you get into a routine of going, I find myself actually looking forward to working out. It really does boost your mood and I feel really off if I don't go. How could one use it for social reasons? That actually kinda pisses me off for some reason, I'm not sure why but it does. That's what bars are for...? When I go, I don't care what I look like and hate when people try and have a conversation with me when I'm working out. To me, there's obvious places you just need to leave people alone and that's one of them.

It just seems weird to me people specifically go out and actively search for friends. Why? Just let it happen naturally and if it doesn't, who cares? It makes me mad because that's my designated alone time and people should respect that.
I didn't search for friends or chat there. It was more like just to be around people, not to talk to them but just to be out in the world around people.

I could see targeting for a mini triathalon. Would have to add biking this summer, in my mind the easiest thing of the three.
I totally feel better stronger and more alive when im involved in an active work out program. They say it becomes vitally important in mid life, particularly, predicts length of life.

I don't really hit the gyms that often these days, though now that the weather's finally cooperating I'm probably about to dust off my bike and hit the trails. I've been meaning to start lifting just to tone a little more. Mostly I miss the feeling after heavy cardio: the pour of sweat, the rhythmic deep inhale/exhale when you've hit your stride and really sink into the activity you're doing, and pushing and pushing to get better/faster/stronger. After workouts like that, I love myself. Been taking it waaaaay too easy these last six months or so. Don't want to get soft.
Also, I'm with Jessica. When I go to gyms I'm there to work out. I actively try to avoid conversation if I can, unless I felt like I got done what I wanted to and I'm headed out the door. I'm not a bastard to anyone that does try to talk to me or anything, but it totally distracts me at a time when I need to get amped up, angry, and contemptuous, not polite, engaging, and cheerful. vs

I used to work out. When I started it was a big surprise for me that I actually liked it. It's a good sport because I can do it in my own way, in my own pace.
Yeah, I love it. I'm actually sitting at work getting excited about working out afterwards. The feeling you get afterwards tops many things. I'm officially addicted. Getting started was hard for me but now I can't stop. My legs hate me but I've already lost a lot of weight
I don't work out. I'm a little thin. Sometimes I come up with some detailed plan to change that, but I don't commit for long. I enjoy it indirectly when I'm doing something I'm actually interested in. Like skateboarding, some sports, etc.. Except, I'm only semi-interested in those now. Also, I stopped caring about "adapting myself to the market". That's not going to motivate me (I probably used to consider that too much at one point, but thought of other ways besides fitness).
If I miss the gym for more than a couple days, there's a problem. My life is no longer right and I NEED to get back in there.

the only way i have the motivation to work out is if i have a concrete goal like "lose five pounds" or something. otherwise its really hard for me to maintain any interest in it. so i yo-yo. working out is not fun for me in and of itself. i wonder if i would like it more if i could afford a gym membership and had more variety in the things i could do.
