    Default The Four Social Styles

    http://www.accelerate.uk.com/the_fou...al_styles.html

can these be correlated to sociotype at all? maybe the clubs?

i was thinking of the thread about blind spots and was reminded of this. we were presented with this system in a college class and i typed myself as an amiable. but my professor was quite adamant that i was actually a driver, which i thought was strange. maybe he was just dumb, lol. i still think i'm amiable. EDIT: actually, i just remembered. we were supposed to pick two of them. i picked "amiable and expressive" and he insisted i was actually "amiable and driving." not so weird, never mind lol.

interesting, they might correlate to Gulenko's communication styles:

IXTx "Cold-blooded" types (might correlate to Analyticals)
IXFx "Sincere" types (might correlate to Amiable)
EXFx "Passionate" types (might correlate to Expressive)
EXTx "Business-like" types (might correlate to Driving)

here's a thread on the communication styles: http://www.the16types.info/vbulletin...ad.php?t=32126

here's a Gulenko article where he talks about the communication styles (Russian): http://socioniko.net/ru/articles/lifesc.html

It seems to correlate more to Galen's four temperaments.

Driving = Choleric = ET or EJ
Expressive = Sanguine = EF or EP
Analytical = Melancholic = IT or IJ
Amiable = Phlegmatic = IF or IP

Kind of a shame that they spent 50 years of research reinventing a concept that has existed for thousands of years...

I'm probably some combo of driving and expressive.

ah! i was thinking to myself that IxFx would be good for amiable and ExFx for expressive, but i never completed the thought and i forgot all about the communication styles. cool, thanks!

i don't remember much about the four temperaments mirrorsoul brought up, but it does seem like some system of four different similar type people does get recycled a lot and i think the concept is similar, yeah.

How nice. A simple, clean, brief description that describes me better than most socionics descriptions. Goodbye socionics!

Those sound somewhat like E-type descriptions.

I think I am mostly an amiable type in this case with a lean towards expressive.

Absurd: You Ti dominants sure say things I don't really know where to put.
