Because they don't care about material things and are not Fi valuing...they don't let empathetic emotions sink them down. That's important to remain stress free, happy, and go lucky kind of touch. They carry very little guilt or guilty feelings that others do.

They let things slide off their backs easily.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Because we can say Flying Burritos from the planet Buriton and simply smile because it's silly, and we can find it hilarious when a Gamma would want to make a serious restaurant business out of it.

If Alphas truly were happier, it would probably be because they value both Fe and Si...

Happiness is such a subjective thing, though...someone of a particular type may appear more happy than someone of another type, when they're really less happy and just not showing it.

This thread is largely unserious, but it was inspired by a website I found that largely misguidedly (imo) attempted to instill Alpha values in people, due to the "therapeutic benefit" of laughter and humor.

Alphas, on a very superficial level, could be seen to having a higher propensity for both those things, since we're largely the quadra of "pop and intellectualism". Obviously humor is quadra-independent, as is the actual physical act of laughter.

Though that said, I find myself unleashing far less belly-laughs in predominantly out-of-quadra environments than amongst other Alphas This is wholly dismissible as the result of value clashes, however.
