Also because I'm bored --

Xerxes I the Great, Persian King of Kings, 485-465 BC

The way he was portrayed in the movie 300 is very obviously EIE, and I think it's a plausible type for the historical person as well (a hunch in this case).

"I only require that you kneel before me -- because I am kind" (in the movie).

Trajan, Emperor of Rome, 98-117 AD

He's easier to type than you might think -- lots of his letters have survived.

Constantine I the Great, Emperor of Rome 306-337 AD

The guy who made Christianity into the western world's chief religion. Liked to style himself "the 13th apostle".

    Jumping a few centuries --

    John Kennedy, US president

    Ronald Reagan, US president

Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, French president 1974-81

(note that in his tv farewell as president, he made a point of standing up and walking away, live, something he had never done before)

Nelson Mandela , president of South Africa 1994-99, and Muammar al-Gaddafi "Brotherly Leader and Guide of the Revolution" of Libya

Saloth Sar aka Pol Pot, leader of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia

    Franklin Roosevelt, US president

    Cary Grant

    Salvador Dalí, Spanish surrealist painter

Oriana Fallaci, Italian journalist and author

    Peter O'Toole

    Jane Fonda

Pericles, politician and statesman of democratic Athens, 5th century BC (a justified hunch )

George Villiers the Duke of Buckingham, English royal favorite and quasi-PM in the 17th century, the guy who was the French queen's lover in The Three Musketeers.

In any case I think those sketches are very helpful, much more than photographs. I am beginning to see just how accurate VI is in real life.

Russell Brand - comedian + presenter in the U.K.

Interesting video of Russell Brand - an ENFj in action!

1)She looks exactly like an ISFj prof I have had for years (no possibility of mistyping her after all that interaction)
2)She has been used as a "model" @ socionics.org for the "readiness to resist" ascribed to the ISFj facial expression

I tend to agree that Jane Fonda is ISFj. Have you seen Barefoot in the Park? I think the main characters are an ENTj/ISFj duality.

Ok, perhaps we should discuss her in a separate thread.

I don't think the movie is good evidence to type the real person. My own reasons for seeing ENFj for her are some interviews and some of the things she said and did in her life.

ENFjs can seem quite shy IME - she reminds me more of ENFjs than INFps I know. The way she speaks seems more ENFj-like too, I can't really explain it.

If you see this interview, you'll see she gives almost instanteneous reponses + talks quickly - INFps for example seem more uncertain 'erm...' + talk slower. She seems to store energy in her cheeks before speaking, INFps have a more relaxed face (IMO).

His voice and lyrics (e.g. the album Absolution, one of my favs ) seem to match ENFj the best - full of alarm and panic etc. He seems pretty hyper too, if unusual - I don't think he's INFp. I did consider ENTp as a possibility before though.

She seems to revel in Beta type things IMO - I thought she had quite strong and she seems driven in a Exxj type way. She directs films and is able to express intense emotions in these films, from interviews I've read. Other than that, my typing isn't so strong for her .

I can only find four quotes by her at the moment: (I think they show her to be Beta, but I know ISFps can I sound like this).

Has anyone mentioned Tom Cruise yet? The obsessively shining eyes, the passion, the dramatic flair, the effusiveness, and the outright irrationality (i.e. his beliefs on psychiatry) screaming for ?

In fairness to ENFjs, most are far saner than he is. But I still think he's a pretty good example.

I can't stand Tom Cruise. Don't think he's ENFj, though. His vi seems to parallel Richard Dreyfuss (who, incidentally, I DO like!) But the similarities I have observed between the two may be incidental rather than type-definitive.
