    Default Alex Trebek

Watching Jeopardy I got to thinking about Trebek's type. My tentative conclusion is EIE. He has a rather dramatic way of speaking and reminds me of Charlie Rose (also EIE). Thoughts?

If you think anything about Alex Trebek or Charlie Rose is 'dramatic', you're gonna be really surprised once you meet a real ENFj, haha.

    lol, TRUTH

Also, I think the common typing of Trabek is LSI, which seems to work.

Come on guys, you're killing me with your poor ablilities in seeing functions expressed in people. I mean really, most of you on here have post counts in the thousands and you can't reason well enough to realize that he demonstrates strong blocked with . He is a subtype so maybe that's where you get some of your confusion. I mean, just watching him for a few seconds, you can clearly see that he has full command of his senses, he doesn't display any space cadet qualities that a type would. He is very much in command of his environment. You will notice with LII's that their polr makes them have a poor sense of stance so to speak, this becomes very obvious if you ever witness one doing any sort of aerobic exercise. I'm just dissapointed that some of you have been around awhile, and can't notice basic things such as these, that's all.

Not to mention that until fairly recently he routinely sported a moustache.

    Give me a break.

Funny to see people's reactions. I bet most people just want to accept Rick's typing so they don't have to think about it. (Not to say it isn't right.) EIE is kind of a half-baked idea, but I'll watch some videos later. I'm quite sure about Charlie Rose, on the other hand. He uses and all the time, it's obvious.

    Argh.

Alex Trebek is definitely IXTj, I was leaning INTj, but that was sort of a surface opinion, and several people I respect are leaning ISTj over INTj... so I dunno. I have no idea where anybody is getting Fe-ego for him from.

Charlie Rose is ILI. He is in NO WAY an Fe-ego. The capacity to be good on camera and hold a conversation does not make one an Fe ego.
Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

    Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...

    Check out this interview:

The way he speaks is so uber-expressive, with lots of emphasis. The first question asks him how he feels about something (requiring the use of ethics) and he responds "I LOVE the SNL sketches featuring Will Ferrell, in fact I was extremely disappointed when he left SNL." "The Sean Connery character that Darrell Hammond portrays so beautifully on SNL, I love it."

What kind of LSI uses that kind of language? I might even consider ESE over EIE.

You don't know LSIs who use that kind of language? That seems very normal for LSIs to me. And he's gushing about an EIE and another LSI.

Actually, I havent' put that much thought into Will Ferrell's or Sean Connery's types.

LSI is most likely but I wouldn't rule out LII or ILE.

At least everyone can plainly tell that Trebek is some kind of rational type. Lol

In my assessment he is an inert subtype LIE. People are mistaking role for being his base function, which is understandable.

LSI-Se. The Se type is more gentle and appears more relaxed and looks less "ready to resist" and more intellectually curious and better with Fe than the Ti type.
