On the benefits of emphasis of the subjective perspective
I'm bored, so...
Many people are aware that their own perspective is limited, and they assume that the correct response is to attempt to take into account that which is beyond their perspective, perhaps as a defense against being wrong.
But I would suggest we not do this for a number of reasons:
Consider your own experience of trying to give the most accurate position possible. If you know you are unaware of some things, how can you possibly account for that which you are unaware of until you become aware of it? Clearly a truism, yet people fail to account for this.
But the only way to gain a clearer perspective is to propose the best understanding you have with the caveat that there is little knowledge and experience backing it. Fragmentations into multiple perspectives are counterproductive unless they are stepping stones to reaching a clearly defined perspective. And ultimately, one can really only act from one perspective at a time.
