Default Differences b/t Duals and Super-Egoes?

So I had my dad typed LII and my mom typed ESI, which would make them Super-Egoes, and in some ways I can see Super-Ego as a possibility, except that they've been happily married for 27 years...But, maybe there just happens to be enough non-socionics factors in play to still make them compatible.

That said, I also think that my dad and my brother-in-law are likely the same type. But, I'm starting to think that my brother-in-law might actually be LIE.

I'm still pretty darn positive about ESI for my mom.

So, what might be some ways to tell whether my parents are Duals or Super-Egoes?

Or, how can I decide b/t LII or LIE for my dad?

Some superegos (those who do not argue a lot!) can have a great relationship...but they are never happy 100%

ask them if they like eachothers sense of humor. Or that it is quite different or opposite of what they like. Different kind of humor is especially striking in super ego relationship.

What of his relations with you and your husband (if he's still ILI)?

He and my husband have a lot of common interests. But I have noticed that my dad tends to get annoyed with my husband's apparent lack of focus, and slower ways. And my husband has commented on how he admires my dad for his intelligence and knowledge on a wide variety of topics, but that he seems overly-opinionated and judgmental.
