Default How do I troll a jealous SLE?

I'm pretty sure I just made this SLE jealous by joking around with his girlfriend, who is a friend of mine. He's just gotten all territorial at me.

I want to screw with his head. Any tips? Nothing too ruthless, since the conversation is in a thread following said friend's facebook post.

You run the risk of getting your head bashed in if you push it.
What do these signs mean—, , etc.? Why cannot socionists use symbols Ne, Ni etc. as in MBTI? Just because they have somewhat different meaning. Socionics and MBTI, each in its own way, have slightly modified the original Jung's description of his 8 psychological types. For this reason, (Ne) is not exactly the same as Ne in MBTI.

Just one example: in MBTI, Se (extraverted sensing) is associated with life pleasures, excitement etc. By contrast, the socionic function (extraverted sensing) is first and foremost associated with control and expansion of personal space (which sometimes can manifest in excessive aagression, but often also manifests in a capability of managing lots of people and things).

For this reason, we consider comparison between MBTI types and socionic types by functions to be rather useless than useful.

Shoot yourself in the head and wait for him to notice the trail of blood and brains. What kind of asshole are you anyway?

    A sadistic one.

Nah, I felt bad after redbaron made clear what had happened, so I apologised.

Oh, I see it's settled now--nice. I was going to say to leave him alone, unless you really hate the IEI in question, because you're more apt to cause her problems than him by stirring up his jealousy.

Honestly, It's almost comical how territorial SLE's can become. Tonight I was out with SLE & and this drunk SEE female acquaintance of ours kept latching on to me the whole night, kissing me on the cheek while repeating "I LOVE HER SO MUCHHH! LOVE HER! SHE'S SO BEAUTIFUL!! She has the most gorgeous eyes! blah, blah". The look on SLE's face was priceless. he kept trying to pull me away from her the whole time, saying things like "wtf. Why am I jealous? god, she better not kiss you. I was so scared she was going to kiss you. She got too close!".

Even he was confused & bewildered that he could become so jealous over something so silly, as most guys would either not care, or encourage it. He said he kept wanting to tell her to get away from me but he didn't want to come off as looking gay in front of his friends for doing so. lol

It was so funny that he reacted that way over something so harmless. Silly SLEs.
    That's cute.

If it's on Facebook then befriend those he talks to more and just comment on those peoples statuses/posts, he'll likely be pissed at the territory invasion.

Edit: for some reason I thought it was a Facebook thing? Same thing will piss him off irl, cause if your fiends with his friends, his Fi PoLR won't know who to trust.....maybe..or he might just punch you.

It is a facebook thing Words, says in the original post.

Thanks Arthur... especially that I'm considering ESTp strongly now... this kind of crap would piss me the hell off. If you are going to pretend to hit on his girl, or be friends with her, without his knowing, making him question what is going on... expect him to beat the living daylights out of you. Or mess with your *car* or other personal property. Don't keep the joke going for too long, before explaining, cause you WILL regret it. (Assuming he is ESTp)

But I understand people need to lighten up sometimes. I like to give my girl freedom to talk with people and all, as long as I feel reassured nothing is going on. Perhaps he's one of those over-controlling ESTps... in which case, perhaps teasing him might be a good idea, help him learn to loosen up. Just curious, why do you want to provoke this guy?

i'm sure you probably didn't mean the connotation here, but words matter. surely you know that your girl already possesses the freedom to talk to people before you benevolently bestow this freedom upon her. right?

Of course she has the freedom to do what she wants. I'm not controlling like so many other guys are. I didn't mean "give" her the freedom like she didn't have it already. I meant let her do it without trying to make a big deal out of it.

But she actually likes that I'm very possessive/protective of her. I think INFps appreciate Se. She thinks it's cute to know I care so much.

No, I just made a bunch of silly posts on a silly status update, and got asked "Wait, hold the phone, who are you?"

I mean, wtf is up with you guys? The SLEs I know IRL are all like giant teddy bears. Usually it's just a matter of sidestepping their dominance plays or engaging in some friendly jostling. I find it hard to believe the entire type is populated with murderous gangsters and vandals

I really just wanted to know how I might continue to push his buttons, since I apparently managed to inadvertently trip one. Now I don't, because I feel like a dick now that my bully switch has unflipped.

Thanks for saying this, because I agree totally. Although I have seen SLEs be territorial and jealous and very assertive, and have been under huge emotional pressure from one, the few I know are really sweet, thoughtful, solicitous. The one I know best is aggressive with words but isn't impulsive in terms of beating someone up. He sometimes does lose his temper, but it's pretty much harmless stuff.

I could see how lots of types, if raised in the right (wrong) environment, could be reckless or violent, but I haven't seen that with SLEs so far.

best way to troll anybody: have a successful relationship of your own.
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.
