Or which sports do you like to do.
Or which sports do you like to do.
As a kid I played baseball and had a high batting average. I also liked skateboarding, kickboxing, and track. These days I enjoy biking, hiking, XC skiing, and snowboarding.
The ILIs I know, cycling mostly

Not excelling at any sport actually, but I'm not so bad either. I'm not very good at sports which require good coordination. I really like hiking.

I love playing basketball, my only problem is that I suck at it.
ILI's excel at sports?! I've gotta tell my husband! lol
My life's work (haha):
Input, PLEASEAnd thank you
I also enjoy spotting inappropriate apostrophes like the one used in this thread topic to pluralize ILI.
Any sport on a videogame.
sports! i like sports ! but not the very organized kind.
-I like to play tennis weekly w/ a friend. Played tennis in high school. I think I am average, but that turns out to be pretty good, since not a lot of people know how to play this sport.
-I played soccer in high school, and I still play some pick up games with the local foreigners. Indoor soccer is awesome.
-I am trying to get better at golf, I can only play Par-3 competitively. My game goes to hell once I play on a regular course. Still working on that one, and I can't wait till the weather gets better to work on my game. The only downside to this sport is the $$$.
-Played intramural flag football in colllege.
-I have a weight bench at my house and I like to bodybuild. In a sense, dieting becomes a sport. It forces my mind to keep attuned to the physical world every couple hours.
-I am getting a Jui-Jitsu book for Christmas, and am looking forward to learning something out of that. My INFp friend is into MMA and I figure that is something I can pick up rather easily.
All in all, sports are really important in my life, and I'd like to think it helps keep my sanity.
starcraft 2, warcraft 3
I used to box. I like fencing with the saber and foil.
Cycling. I've ridden pretty much every day for the last 3.5 years. I went ~28 miles one day. I feel more normal on my bike, riding, than walking off it, now.
I don't do as well with sports that require interaction with a team of people.
Weightlifting, trading off spotting with my guy friend, was great.
I do like repetitive, taxing sports that allow for mental drift, as this article author states:

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Since this thread was necro'd, I used to do cross country with enjoyment. I played basketball for four or five years but derived no enjoyment from that. Paintball and airsoft have always been fun, but depending on who you talk to they may or may not be 'sports.'
an ILI that I know excels at racing to the grocery store 5 minutes before closing, it's become a sporting activity now
I also make a near-nightly dash to the store for provisions just before they close.

is it "in season" to be bumping old, shitty threads?
seriously, cut it the fuck out
My ILI friend was beast at Wii "Just Dance" and he got an even higher score than me- which is ironic since i took dance lessons for many years.
The trolling on this thread is quite jejune.
Although I didn't play sports, like on a high school team(much too asocial for that), I loved certain sports activities with my friends. We played baseball, basketball, and street hockey together. None of us were particulary good; just a bunch of nerds trying to play sports together, but it was fun. I also enjoyed solo activities that allowed me to perfect/hone certain skills; like making the perfect three point shot, getting strikes while bowling, or ringers while playing horseshoes. My stepdad and brother are Se dominants, and were much better at these kind of tasks. I put most of my time into reading books and doing homework, I was much better at those types of activities.
My ILI friend quite likes playing tennis. I have no idea if he "excels" at it, though.
I've never been very good at sports.
