    Default Advanced Enneagram Tritype Theory

So I was considering something the other day....

I heard from some source that e5's and e4's have tritypes with instinctual triads last, because their withdrawn nature alienates them the most from their instinctual nature.

This made sense, so I was thinking, if this were the case then their are essentially three different types of e5's and e4's

    5/4's with e8 instinct
    5/4's with e1 instinct
    and
    5/4's with e9 instinct

I started to think of what each type would look like

4 with e8 instinct romanticize the instinctual nature of an 8 - power, leadership, ambitious aspirations, a great enthusiasm for life, living the most out of life

4 with e9 instinct romanticizes the instinctual nature of a 9 - harmony, peace, love, contentous

4 with e1 instinct romanticizes the instinctual nature of a 1 - moral integrity, humanitarian, wise, truthful, inspiring, and so forth

5 with instinctual stacking would follow form, except instead of romanticizing instinct, the instinct would serve as a kind of area of interest, analytical investigation, or inquiry.

Examples that come to mind are einstein appears as a 5w4... his instinctually nature gravitates towards e9w1. He found harmony in the simplicity of nature and physics and in the music of mozart. Analytical and absent-minded but a humanitarian who advocated for peace.

beethoven appears as a 4w5... his instinctually nature gravitates towards e8w9. He was inspired by napoleons ascenion to leadership, framing him as a bringer of peace and writing his 3rd symphony in his honor, but shortly after tearing it apart when he failed to meet his expectations as a leader. He was moody and angry, ill-tempered. His music carries a frantic feeling of dread and anger along with a great robust enthusiasm. His 9th symphony is about unity and brotherhood for all mankind (8w9 themes). He was notoriously critical of leadership, refusing to bow to an emporer in standard form when walking through a park with geothe. He apparently took the father role for a nephew at one point in his life, the nephew ended up killing himself because he found it hard to life under beethoven as a father being moody and tyrannical.

Things like the 3rd star wars movie, darth vader, anakin skywalker seem to have a 4 - 8 link

With tritype you could go as far to say that there are 9 of each type, and that's just looking at core types.

    ex. 5-1-3, 5-9-4 etc

if you subscribe to ordering differences it could even be 18

    ex. 5-1-3, 5-3-1

with all the different things you can do with the enneagram you could have 9(types)*2(wings)*6(instinct stackings)*9(trifix stackings)*4(trifix wings)*2(trifix ordering) = 7776

If you count subwings for each fixation then it could be another 2*2*2*7776 = 62208 different enneagram combinations ...lol

    I think socionics in it's prime has 8(subtypes)*16 = 128

not that there is anything necessarily better about it, but it just describes how nuanced the enneagram can get.

You can have (almost) as many subtypes as you want, if you make up an adequate theory.

    Explain thyself Divided.

As for Socionics, you could have as many as 256 type combinations, using dual-type theory. You could also type using Reinin dichotomies and end up with 32,000-plus types, but I'd recommend against that, as it gets ridiculously complex and in any case Reinin dichotomies seem to be interlinked.
What do these signs mean—, , etc.? Why cannot socionists use symbols Ne, Ni etc. as in MBTI? Just because they have somewhat different meaning. Socionics and MBTI, each in its own way, have slightly modified the original Jung's description of his 8 psychological types. For this reason, (Ne) is not exactly the same as Ne in MBTI.

Just one example: in MBTI, Se (extraverted sensing) is associated with life pleasures, excitement etc. By contrast, the socionic function (extraverted sensing) is first and foremost associated with control and expansion of personal space (which sometimes can manifest in excessive aagression, but often also manifests in a capability of managing lots of people and things).

For this reason, we consider comparison between MBTI types and socionic types by functions to be rather useless than useful.

May I be excused from the thread now, daddy?
