    Default Socionics: training astronauts

I was watching the news report a few days ago and a piece of news caught my attention: some Russian astronauts (USA=Astronauts, Russia=Cosmonauts, PR China=Taikonauts) who are the crew for the next mission have been isolated for almost one year so that they get used to living in a closed space and get to know each other.
If Socionics is applied in this case, all the crew members should share the same quadra values: this would ease the difficult conditions they are probably undergoing. A Socionics conflict in outer space may be tricky.
From my point of view, I'd prefer to be launched with other alpha quadra members (I wouldn't mind sharing the rocket with Jenna Jameson, whichever her type is). Alpha quadra members should flourish in scientific missions.
I think this issue was discussed in this board years ago.
A conquer mission should involve a beta quadra team.
A mission related to build a new world should involve a delta quadra team.
A mission involving diplomacy with Aliens may need gamma quadra members.
I'll search for some links to the aforementioned mission.

An interesting exercise: let's VI the crews of past missions.

First, they should keep women (or men) out of the crew to avoid sex-related issues...

I'm not sure that a full quadra would be more favorable than two dual pairs of different quadras, for instance ILE-SEI and IEE-SLI. In my experience this group is fairly stable, as long as the two pairs have a degree of autonomy. A quadra might work, but the dynamics are more complex. There can be competition between extroverts and between mirror partners.

Why? To my knowledge this hasn't been an issue on the ISS. The only time I've ever heard anything close to insinuating astronauts have had sex in space was that one shuttle mission with the married couple, but that was never confirmed or denied.

I don't know how much experience you've had over this sort of thing, but in many workplaces, there is difficulties with male female relationships even if it's not sexual.

I wonder if there have been sex experiments in space. seems like somebody would have a (maybe secret) report on that by now.

And all of them appear to be T EMs. (not surprisingly)

Also, many work places are not filled with astronauts. I realize they are only human, but aren't we underestimating their integrity a little? ISS crews are rotated every half year or so, maybe this isn't long enough for the real problems to develop? At any rate, the advent of Lunar colonization will definitely force this issue into the limelight.
