Default Quadras --- Children, Adolescents, Adults, Seniors

Once I read about that theory somewhere:

Alphas are like children, Betas like adolescents, Gammas like adults, Deltas like seniors.

That is certainly correct and quite interesting because the different types even represent different aspects of childhood, adolescence and so on. Does someone have a link where I can read about it?

    Alphas - the children
    ENTp: inquisitive
    ISFp: innocent
    ESFj: enthusiastic
    INTj: fair-minded

    Betas - the adolescents
    ENFj: egocentric
    ISTj: know-it-all
    ESTp: aggressive
    INFp: dreamy

    Gammas - the adults
    ESFp: power-hungry
    INTp: criticizing
    ENTj: mercenary
    ISFj: moralizing

    Deltas - the seniors
    ESTj: careful
    INFj: decent
    ENFp: advising
    ISTp: calm

How is fair-minded considered a childlike trait?

Anyway, I think that INTjs are the least childlike of the alphas.

But you yourself are quite childlike, you have to admit.

Just one hint: ENTjs are not mercenaries, they HIRE mercenaries. I'm thinking of Monty Burns.

Yeah, but I'm also more seniorlike too. I have a weird combination of child and senior traits.

Anyway, I'm gonna post a poll.

Just like these awesome Mexican comedies (El Chavo del Ocho, El Chapulín Colorado, etc).

Fair-mindedness as in, not having been enculturated with all the biases and "good-enough" mental compromises of the adult world? Maybe?

ENTp/INTj are the MOST child-like of alpha, as well as the rest of the socion. If alpha SF's were more childish than INTj's we would never be properly "taken care of".

I dunno, of the Alpha Rational dyad, I think LII is the less "childish", overall. The ESE may take care of the LII's physical needs, but it's the LII who provides a logical "anchor" to balance and stabilize the ESE's turbulent emotions. In that sense, the LII is more "mature" than the ESE. This is why I find 1981slater's "Mental Caregiver" etc. terminology so useful; it highlights relationship dynamics equally as important as Gulenko's Sensory-based romantic styles that were previously ignored.

Yes I was mainly referring to the physical needs. It described well what others see. If someone viewed an LII/ESE couple in the home, the LII is most easily visible as the one being taken care of (especially in times of sickness, even minor ie common cold).

My mother is one, and possibly a cousin of mine. They will stand by their morals no matter how stupid and useless the morals seem.

Yes, I definitely prefer seniors over any other age group. I bow to their wisdom.

Also, the Beta I knew hated adolescents...

I also prefer seniors, for their wisdom, caring and gentle nature. It's too bad that we don't have better social programs for them

i think LII's and ESE's are the oldest souls of the socion. the youngest souls are ILE and SEI.

i think LIIs and - not so often though - ESEs *try* to come off as old souls. Especially ESEs who don't know you very well can be overly condescending.

I am sure ESEs may think the same about ILIs.

no, they really are. i've never seen another type as comfortable in their own skin as ESE.

ILI's are just past middle aged. which explains their cynicism

Of course LII are incredibly awkward in their own skins, which makes it an amusing pairing.

Blaze, you're Ne'ing ESE too much into a pattern. Let me give you an example of ESE women who are uncomfortable in their own shoes, my cousins and sister who are ESE battle with feelings of insecurity and weight issues. They are not that comfortable in their shoes as you might think; they also have anxiety related with performance and criticism of their job(s) and very much shut down as chef Cat Cora does when being "evaluated"

Sorry to supervise your Fi here, honey. I love you
