    Default Hiiiiiiiiiiii

new here but I don't exactly consider myself new to socionics, i've read quite a bit on both rick's site and on SG's site, but sometimes he doesn't update the Q&A, and often the forums on that site are .."dull" i guess. i came here and i've been looking around at the forums for the past 3 days, i think you all are very entertaining

internet tests = FAIL , but if you´re E4 IRL, then INFP is a good bet.

i agree they are, the past year or so i've hardly tested because they're too predictable. besides that i don't always agree when the descriptions say i'm creative, i feel like they're overestimating me >.>

it´s not that E4s are creative but they have this quality of genuinity to them, uniqueness, so they can create unique and genuine things... but it´s sort of hidden. your low self-opinion on that confirms that you´re probably E4.

yeah, i see what you mean. i just feel like the world is full of so many strange things that i'd assume everything has been done before so maybe there isn't much room for creativity. like people say lady gaga is creative, but then others say she is a recycled version of madonna.

This may not be true for you, Jenna, so take it for what it's worth. But I've found that in expressing my creativity, because of lack of self-confidence, I totally have to have structure and outside support.

    (I'm IEI/INFp and indisputably E4.)

My advice is that if you discover a medium through which you want to express your creativity, consider pursuing it in a structured way, such as an academic program or a very good (ideally, with an expert in charge) peer group. I made little progress in my creative pursuits until I did that. It helps to have (a) outside goals being set for me, such as having to complete a project by X date, and (b) having other people give feedback that helps me better understand what is and isn't valuable in my own creative output.

With encouragement to pursue my own inner world and express it, I did discover how to realize my creative potential more and more. For me, it's been a matter of seeing that the inner world I dwell in can be expressed safely and that it's even warmly received by other people.

Eh, I deal with creative types every single day.

A bit in the vein of what Maritsa was saying to mercutio in another thread: I'm getting weary of you responding to my every post. Why don't you find someone else to focus on for a while?

People will have a better grasp of your type if you post enough (that is, if you're actually looking for your type, which I would assume you are). They're pretty outspoken about such things, for better or worse

    you have a penis? lol

ISFp's can be messy people. if i had decent lighting I'd take pic of my room... let's just say that within arms reach of me there are at least 20 empty soda cans on the computer desk, dresser, and floor. lol

clothes all over the floor. check

bed has 8 pillows, three sheets, a comforter, and two blankets... but hasn't been made in over a year lol (yes I do wash them , but what's the point of making a bed? i just throw everything in that general direction after it's washed since it's just going to get used and messy again anyways.)

pretty much. it used to drive my estj dad up the fucking wall. he'd practically gag when he'd see the state of order that i keep my room in. (not from actual physical grossness such a rotting food etc... which i care enough about to clean out to avoid, but just from the chaos of it all.) Opening the door to my room or glancing into it was one of the sure fire ways to get that vein in his forehead to start pulsing.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Jenna, Si is your personal internal sensations derived from whatever pleases your own personal senses. It could please you to have your room in turmoil, but you still be able to derive pleasant sensation for "just the way it looks" or whatever about it. So Si and Se is not about messy rooms. It's about sensations. My Si friend had the messiest room ever, but when she held onto her warm and fuzzy doll, she felt pleasant in that mess.

Another example is another friend back in Junior High, who had the messiest room ever but when she stepped out of that room, she looked like a million bucks, made out nice and pretty...somehow that messy room did not bother her feelings of pleasant sensations; maybe she got used to it or because it was her comfort zone.

Si tries to establish stability internally not to pursue making their surroundings pleasant although to sometimes, you'll have Si types raised by people who are particularly stictly clean freaks and so they feel the constant need of someone watching over them, making them feel shame for not having cleaned and tidied...that's an example with another friend.

I guess a good way to determine if you're Fi is to understand from what you derive pleasant sensations from and what those feelings produce inside of you and can you get the same sensation when you think about them without experiencing them again?

I would also consider looking at Se too.
