I don't think SLE females are that hard to read, assuming you're IEI. as long as you seem interested, they tend to take the initiative in establishing a position.
I usually just flat out assume if they're giving me the time of day it means they like me.
Actually I've seen these jokes before. EIEs tend to act very similar. So it's a bad example.

yeah, EIEs tend to just test boundaries more, to find some sense of security. with SLEs, the issue is your actual disposition towards them (which, it should be noted, is useful bait); so, the probing and such revolves more around how they're coming across, what your opinion of x and y "hypothetical behaviors/attitudes" is, etc.

I tend to find that they find it hard to play mind games and such, i mean emotional games, so its all in how she responds to you. If you "attack" her she responds well, then you know she likes you, but if you attack and blows you off youll know shes a bitch.
while they don't seem the most adept at those 'games', they're definitely aware of them. also, ignoring an attack is a strong indicator of disinterest. but this is mainly because they don't expect attacks from people (i.e. IEIs), and so when one occurs, its impact (or lack thereof) has more meaning.

I'll try to make plans with you, communicate interest through physical proximity, and try to initiate physical stuff like holding hands or kissing.
