    Default What's my type?

I haven't made many posts, but i've been involved in some discussions.

I thought i'd make a thread to see if anyone has any idea what type I am.

    Here's some info:

I have sat Ricks test and it gave me IEE

I have sat Ganins test and it gave me SLI and IEI.

Relationships: The best relationship I have had is with a girl who typed on MBTI as ISFP. It amazed me that we would be doing stuff and she'd automatically go and cook dinner, and I had no thought about it, except I would think at some point, 'let's order a takeaway'. She also was very good at keeping her house tidy whilst I would put off the housework, the ironing and such as much as possible. She described me as random, and funny, which she enjoyed.

I dated someone who i'd give IEE but I wasn't particularly happy with the relationship even although I was drawn to her. A big stumbling block was that I felt I was more intelligent than her, otherwise it was OK. That's not to say i'm super intelligent, i'm not: from reading posts I wouldn't be suprised if most of you guys here are cleverer than me, but on an IQ sense I would say she was average and i'm above average.

I dated an ESE and she was good at housework and cooking and such, but there was conflicts in other senses. I found her very difficult to deal with, always creating emotional drama and no matter what I did I never felt it was good enough, even although the relation was good at the start.

Briefly dated someone who I think is ESI, she was OK but really it was a stop gap as she had more money than me and I was poor at college. TBH I found her a bit too clingy.

How people I know describe me: It varies, some people think i'm random, that i'm able to join different apparently random conversations in a way that they all connect. I would say that in the mainstream sense, i'm somewhat introverted. Others think i'm serious. I tend to be well liked by work colleagues. I seem to be able to get on with everyone if I want to. Sometimes though people have crossed my moral boundary and i've created trouble, behaving aggressively. I have to be careful not to get too attached to people.

I look after my friends, but sometimes i'm not around as I do other things, so maybe they look after me too.

Other things: about a fortnight ago I went out every night of the week. I was exhausted and spent the whole weekend (Saturday and Sunday) not being able to leave the house as i'd physically burnt myself out. I can do this often.

I like socialising with a small group of people that I can trust and feel connected with.

I am good at getting on with people I have just met. Apparently I can be quite charming.

What type do you think I could be?

Thank you for your input, if any

I'm amazed at your ability to type all these women confidently.

Of course I could be wrong

I dated the ESI for about a year and the ESE for about a year.

THE person who typed as ISFP on MBTI I dated for maybe 3 years.

So, although I could be wrong, i'm hoping that i've known them for long enough to get a sense of

    a) their temperament
    b) the functions they most demonstrate (rather, those which appear to be their most highly differentiated)
    c) their type, close enough at least.

I rather thought of the fact that you seem to think your understanding of socionics insufficient to find your own type, yet type others.

My SEI friend mistyped as ENTP in MBTI. It doesn't really matter much in regard to a person's socionic type. But if you're convinced of their type by IEs, how would you say these apply to you?

I think my understanding of socionics and others is OK.

I am not so certain my understanding of myself is as good.

I have had Ni suggested for me - albeit food for thought, however, I thought if I were to hang around then i'd go through the trial by fire to type me, rather than have it spread around various posts/threads here and there, and second of all, I think I know others better than I know myself, so at the same time it is genuine that I am looking for input.

I'm not confusing MBTI with socionics. I'm actually not really interested in MBTI, i've read about it on the internet and have read some excerpts from a book about MBTI. My own impression is that MBTI is a far inferior model of trying to classify people than socionics by use of Jungs theory. Socionics has a truer understanding of the functions as per Jungs work, so the functions make more sense and therefore the type descriptions make more sense, and therefore the suggestion of inter-type relations makes more sense (ie the idea that functions come into play when interacting with those of complimentary types) An example I mentioned recently is for instance an LSE who could well be subdued around a predominantly atmosphere but not around a atmosphere. Given the wrong circumstances for the LSE, ie a atmosphere with most of the people he or she knows, MBTI could very well type the person as an I not an E.

Re the ISFPs type, I haven't mentioned what I think her socionics type is. I thought i'd mention ISFP however, because in my time here, users such as Crispy and Jarno say that socionics and MBTI types are the same, and that the dichotomies are the same. However I described her a little, so maybe some people will pick up on an inter-type socionic relation interaction nonetheless, or her type somewhat. I thought it better to include more information than less.
