My sister was impossible to type until I accepted that she is, indeed, an IEI 7w8. This projecting of 4 qualities on IEI is more common than accurate IMO.

Self-typed E7, 8 wing is obvious to me. Compared to our brother (3w4/4w3, undecided here) she's clearly a 7, still.

And yes, I understand how unfathomable it seems. I was trying Ne-dominants and other types for a long time, but it doesn't work. Independent of each other, both enneatype and sociotype make perfect sense for her. Even if most IEIs are E4s (which seems likely), it doesn't mean you can project these qualities on all of them. Including those you haven't seen.

Highly unlikely. xNxp is as far as dichotomies go, and I'd sooner reconsider N. We really connect on Ni, except she has more of a spiritual bent and is much better at stereotypically Fe-related matters (especially communicating) than Te-related (like figuring out how to get the best deal), but I suppose it works for both Beta NFs or maybe even really socially extraverted ILI, though I really don't see that.

Relations-wise, I've never felt anything remotely like supervisory attitude from her, while it's pretty clear she supervises our mother (ESE). Other relations fit much better for IEI as well (although of course those are based on my typings as well).

Ive never met an IEI 7. Then again my dad is an INTp 7w8, you cant exclude different combinantions of enneagram and soconics type that seem stereotypically unlikely. I once read an ENFp say that all cominantions are possible, some are just more likely than others. While I find this a bit...fluffy, I wouldnt exclude any cominantion being possible except maybe ENFj 5s BECAUSE 5s are said to be afraid of emotions while ENFjs are said to be the type that experiences the strongest of emotions. Then again theres a difference between experiencing emotions and and expressing them, no? 5s are simply said to not express them that much. So even that combination is not impossible.

I dont think we should correlate enneagram and socionics on such an imaginative level, it seems like everyone disagreeing with Joy is just typing based on images of types they have not an actual people. We should type case -by case on an individual basis what a person's enneagram ans socionics correlation is, not what we imagine common trends to be. I mean no research in this field has ever been pioneered by anyone let alone do we know what all the common trends out there actually are.

yeah, sorry but IEI 7 makes no sense. it would make for an interesting archetype, but the majority of us have yet to breach the doors of the opium dens and control panels to release energy with enough consistency and intensity for it to be viable. mutations are inevitable, though.
