Hmm also Twelve Monkeys, A Clockwork Orange, The Matrix, Chinatown, The Fifth Element, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Brazil, Rear Window, Vertigo...basically all the Hitchcock and all the Kubrick films and all the Gilliam films.

The best film I've seen recently is On The Waterfront.

the above are my favorite as well

i would also add: Black Hawk Down, We Were Soldiers, Letters from Iwo Jima, Goodbye Lenin, Der Untergang, Patton, Midway, Full Metal Jacket, Das Boot, Apollo 13, JFK, Easy Rider, Cool Hand Luke, Monty Python, old James Bond, Bruce Almighty, Me Myself & Irene, se7en, Heat, Lethal Weapon, Alien, Predator I & II, Spaceballs, Airplane! & sequel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Revenge of the Nerds, Days of Thunder, Top Gun, Crimson Tide, that one made-for-TV movie about the Cuban Missile Crisis, War Games, Day of the Jackal, original Star Trek, Cheech & Chong, Caddyshack, The Children's Hour, Roman Holiday, My Fair Lady, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Pork Chop Hill, Kelly's Heroes, The Dirty Dozen, Force 10 from Navarone, The Fugitive, The Client, A Night to Remember, Office Space, Platoon, Hamburger Hill. Anyway this will just keep growing if I don't cut it off somewhere.

If mini-series count, then might I add HBO's Band of Brothers, Generation Kill, The Pacific, and From the Earth to the Moon.

    The Lion King
    Beauty and the Beast

    Saving Private Ryan
    Black Hawk Down
    Band of Brothers

    Requiem for a Dream
    American History X

One Flew Over the Coco's Nest
    A Clockwork Orange
    Twelve Monkeys

    The first Matrix

    The Fifth Element

James Bond Series (Minus the later Pierce Brosnan and Craig David Stuff, Goldeneye is alright)

    Top Gun
    Alien
    Predator I & II
    Terminator
    Original Die Hard

    Unbreakable

    Office Space
    Big Lebowski
    Idiocracy

    Fails that are good
Stargate (For soundtrack only, and the idea of the stargate; meaningwhile... dialogue, kurt russel, and all other aspects are cheesy, but I still like it.... the FARGATE!!!! it has no relation to the movie or the syndicated series based on the book)
The Saint (For soundtrack also, movie makes no sense, but it takes place in russia and has a a nice soundtrack, Val Kilmer's disguises are odd in an unintended funny way)
Enemy of the State (For Main theme and the some cool scenes, other than that I'm not wild about the whole govt conspiracy stuff and will smith as another hero)
Battlefield Earth (Just because its an unintended comedy, easily the worst movie of all time, John Travolta is a lol fest)
Deep Blue Sea (Once again, not that great, but I lol'd at when samuel l jackson does his typical "I'm about to give you all a dose of reality" speech and then gets eaten by a shark uncermoniously afterwards; that and how at the end the shark eats the supposed female/romantic interest unclimatically, basically destroying the story... only the stupid shark swimmer guy and ice cube who plays a chef survives... stupid; and finally because the scientist chick strips down out of a wet suit because she has to zap a shark with an electric line.... its sexy)

There are more may-be I'll edit this later

Damn straight. This is one of the most powerful films ever made. I'm (hopefully) going to see the 'complete' two-and-a-half hour version on the big screen this weekend. I'm excited as Hell. I used to think silent movies were for elitist snobs, but then I actually saw some of them.

Anyway, my favorite movies are the original Indiana Jones trilogy, Rough Riders (1997), Star Wars: Episodes III-VI, Duck, You Sucker, Commando, The Wind and the Lion, Dillinger (1973), The Guns of Navarone, Metropolis, Khartoum, Death Wish 3 and 4: The Crackdown, The Great Escape, The Magnificent Seven, UHF, The Killer, Gettysburg, A Fistful of Dollars, The Good ,the Bad and the Ugly, Police Story, Drunken Master II: The Legend of Drunken Master, Mississippi Burning, Snakes on a Plane, Road to Perdition, Gran Torino, and Un Chien Andalou.

My GOD could you be any more Beta...this is basically my list.

Minus: Disney stuff (love em but wouldn't put them in the top), Inception (which is pretty Beta/Gamma anyway, lol), Indiana Jones, Dr. Horrible, Moulin Rouge, The Pristige (haven't seen it but Ed Norton is the bomb so it's probably close enough) and Kick-Ass.

Plus: There Will Be Blood (DDL, fucking see that shit) Twelve Monkeys, The World's Fastest Indian, Dead Poets' Society, Equilibrium, Pi, The Iron Giant, and Big Fish.

From your list I will steal Casablanca and Last of the Mohicans and get back to you. See There Will Be Blood and Pi, you will very likely enjoy.
