Default My wrist watch theory (or: how to tell J from P)

My point: I don't have a wristwatch and they make me feel uneasy. When I was in the university, I used to leave one on the desk when taking an exam, to control the "tempo" but that's all. In spite of that, I'm very punctual. When I was younger and didn't own a cell phone, I checked clocks set in traffic lights or shops to know the time.

My theory: rationals, specially the serious (gamma-delta) ones, have wristwatches. Feedback this!

No, I'm like you. Wrist-watches just make my wrist sweaty.

Ooh I hate wearing watches too. I don't like the feel of them. I'd rather just ask old ladies for the time.

I'm a chronomaniac; I lose my sense of balance if I don't know the time. I'm far too accustomed to wearing a watch. Sports watch, of course. Comfort > Style. I also use a 24 hour clock and have the time facing the same direction of my palm for easy access. I like my watch efficient.

I don't wear a watch. Clocks are everywhere, so, there is no need. Also, I have a knack for predicting the time within a few minutes.

I personally can't live without a wristwatch. I'm wearing one all the time and I only put it away for sleeping or taking a shower. Well, to speak in football terms, that would be 2:0 for J vs. P regarding me.

I wanted to add that I'm really punctual, even if I don't wear a watch. Clocks are everywhere, I'll keep track of time if I need to be somewhere at a certain, precise hour. I can be somewhat intolerant of people that are consistently late.

I have a wristwatch but I always carry it in my pocket if I take it anywhere. I used to be more obsessed with the time, but not so much now

Whats the need of a wristwatch when you have a cell phone...

I do feel lost without my cell phone tho. In part because I can't see the time at any given moment. There are clocks everywhere, but there aren't clocks everywhere.

I like having a wristwatch, but since I've been attaching semi-permanent bracelets to my arm having a wristwatch there seems odd. My parents, both p types, wear wristwatches when they leave the house, but not at home like I used to do sometimes. None of my brothers wear a wristwatch. My SEI brother keeps his on his desk and refuses to wear it or get rid of it, which I wish he would do since the alarm on it gets very annoying.

It's exactly vice versa for me. I often don't take my cellphone with me and it's not even turned on most of the time. I easily could live without it, but it still comes in handy if you really need it. But as I said, a watch is much more important for me.

That's just the problem. I feel like there's a lot of things I can't do if I don't have my cellphone. What if I want to check the weather in Africa when I'm driving around? Guess what. I can't! Seriously cell phone+internet= connection to all info, people, services imaginable at any given moment. Without it, it's like I'm on an island without a clock. The time is what I use my phone for probably 50% of the time.

Haha, well, I sometimes feel similar if I don't have access to my PC for a while. I never used internet on my cellphone, maybe this is the reason. But if I sit in front of my computer I tend to look up everything, even total unnecessary stuff, like the wikipedia article about that insect that is currently flying circles in my room.

I am generally not inclined to wear wristwatches and haven't for the last few years of my life. If I ever got a job in which I needed to keep track of time as a practical requisite, I probably would wear one.

I wear a stylish watch. It's got only four points marked, but I can read it with down to a minute accuracy. If I try in the first place, that is.

lol @ this thread! Just saw it.

I do not wear a watch nor do I own one. My ESE husband owns several but doesn't wear them regularly.

I know three SLEs who don't wear them. My EIE/ESE daughter wears hers every day. The EII daughter wants one for her birthday. SEI son doesn't care two hoots about the time until it's bedtime, because he loves to sleep and must be in bed no later than 8 (his own rule).

I know two SEI males who wear watches.

I dunno if it's nearly as type-related as wearing belts.

My ideas do not seem to be wrong (). Most rationals prefer wearing a wristwatch. More data is needed to confirm this.

I wear a watch, but it's because I can. I also have the alarm set for 12:45 PM every day for no reason. Maybe I just want to know when 12:45 comes along.
